No patch notes for today?  There were supposed to be a lot of fixes going in.

I'm not aware of any patch notes for today. Believe me, I looked. I just know about the 3 Assassin, 1 Templar, and 1 Dirge AA abilities being fixed: http://eq2wire.feldoncentral.com/20...-dirge-assassi/

What was the "urgent issue" that needed to be fixed?

Probably something to do with battlegrounds.  That seems to be the only "urgent" thing going these days.  Of course, since it seems to be impacting so many other things negatively I suppose that it should be given a certain level of urgency.

That's fairly non-specific.

True, but that and what Feldon has gathered is about all that we have right now SMILEY

Another day and another DT. This is getting very old, very fast. Please, please take care of all the problems so we can get back to enjoying the game instead of all these annoying bugs, slow zones, lag etc. etc.

I'm sure they would love for all the bugs and issues to show up immediately when you launch the game, so they can find out about them and fix them, but that probably isn't the case.

This isn't an attack, so I hope you don't take it that way, but seriously?  No patch notes from yesterday's patch and apparently none for today's?  Do you guys not work in the same office?  Is there no inner-office communications over at SOE?  A lot of beetchin' and moaning could be alleviated if SOE would be considerate enough to fill in the community on what's going on.  It's frustrating enough that there's been downtime everday for the last 2 weeks.  We understand that there are problems that need to be attended to, but really, how long does it take to post patch notes...at least then we know the reasons behind our having to sit around with your thumbs buried deep in our rear ends.

If you are asking me?  There is no communication as I am on the other part of the country SMILEY

I know what you know and I feel the same pain in downtimes that you do...  I will ask Kiara if there were any notes, but if there are, she usually posts them.

Keep in mind that there may be DB issues that they are fixing that they may feel that update notes are not necessary.... sort of behind the scenes stuff that isn't really necessary to mention...

That's cool also, but again, still doesn't hurt them to say "Hey kiddies, servers will be down today because we have hardware issues, or whatever...mass squirrel epidemic."  All I'm talking about is consideration.  I figured it up a few days ago, and since launch I've spent right at 2k playing eq2....and I know there are people that have payed much much more than that.  You'd think that SOE would bend over backwards to be considerate with us paying their checks.

There MAY be, sure. That MAY be it.

But yesterday's patch contained a lot of bug fixes that have already been identified by players. So obviously that wasn't it.

There are also potential contents/changes coming that it would be very helpful to know if they've been made. For example, timetravelling indicated XP would return to some of the Hole repeatables. I'd very much like to know whether it has BEFORE I turn them in, rather than finding out the hard way.

There are no public notes.  When there are, they get posted.

The downtime was not scheduled.  Clearly it was a situation where the team felt that the need to fix the issue was important enough to bring the servers down.  Yes, we want to return to the weekly updates, unfortunately sometimes things happen.

Can we please stop with the constant and multiple threads griping about the need to patch the game?  We don't like having to bring the servers down any more than you guys like us doing it.

Also, please remember that frustrating or not, there is no excuse for poor manners and being rude to each other or to my mods.

Thank you.
