I am thinking of getting another account to dual box with my Ranger because there is a lot of solo/group low level content that I did not do and maybe when that toon is fully grown it can be useful in raids.

So my question is what class should I pick to complement my Ranger? A Pally, a Coercer, an Illu, a Warden ?

I am asking for your advice if you already dual box, I am quite new at it.

Thank you.

Corwin

Paladin seems to be the choice of most who dual box with a ranger. Amends and self wards and heals allow you to take out most green to blue content with ease. Any other class combo is either too compicated or you will eventually want a healer of some type.

lets see that tank hold aggro off a ranger. neverSMILEY

That is the problem - you need something that can hold aggro of a ranger going full bore and only a couple of classes can do that and a necro pet is not one of them. Teh range would be bored as hell limited his DPS

Not dual-boxed, but I've spent most of my 80 levels playing duo with a Paladin, and I couldn't think of a class I'd rather have instead. Someone's said that you should be able to take on green and blue content with ease... From my experience, yellow content isn't too much of a problem either. SMILEY

Of course, this might be a little more awkward if you're playing both toons at once, as opposed to adventuring with a second person.
