Please post any feedback, bugs, etc. regarding the outdoor zone Doomfire, the Burning Lands. This is the solo overland version of this zone for quests, collections, harvesting, etc.

Thanks!

The port back from the zone to the Library would not work gave the options for 2 different instances to zone back into but was unable to return to either of them. No messages why not appeared.

Yes, I just had this happen to me trying to get back to the library. There were like four other people standing by the portal trying to get out also. I had to use my call to home and then find a wizzy spire to take me back again. Some secondhand information I received when I asked in General how the heck do I get out of here, someone said they also had the same problem last night.

This sounds like two separate issues. We will look at it.

this zone looks great except you get to spots where you get kicked to desktop and when you try to log back in you get booted to desktop again and cannot seem to get the character to log back in because being kicked to desktop constantly yet if you log another character on thats lets say is in the library you dont have any problems logging them in why this happens in this zone i have no idea tried clearing all caches and still didnt help to log the toon thats in doomfire in i've completed the adventure achievement requirements and was working on the tradeskill sig line when this occured i put in a support ticket in about it also

Same issues, I can land on top of one mob and have the surrounding 6 come to me without looking at or touching them.

Doomfire is the only zone that has dropped me to desktop without any warning. It's happened three times in the past two days. The first time it happened I attributed to me having a long play session. The second and third time I'd only been in the game approx. 20 mins.

It seems weird to me that the Towers of the Flamelords are at (-289, 55, 110) but the actual flamelords are around (88, -15, -346).

The issue of crashing to the desktop in Doomfire, The Burning Lands has been reported in multiple threads by multiple players for over a week. The devs, for some reason, do not seem interested in addressing this issue.

I'd be interested in folks trying it with lower graphics settings to see if that makes a difference. Fire has a lot of particle effects and heat shimmer and so forth associated with it. If it is graphics related, maybe art can do something to help?

Kander, do crashes produce any logfiles somewhere we could be posting? Would tests such as tracert and pathping help? Let us know what we can provide.

Kander,

Since I always crash to desktop trying to log in, I am willing to let you use my character to help debug the issue.

While doing the trade skill quest with a level 110 ratonga swashbuckling carpenter wearing the beta gear (Oct 23?), I found the hordes of young fire wasps to be ridiculously aggressive and instantly lethal. I noticed someone else noted this as well on the tradeskill forums.

MY toon has been stuck in Doomfire, the Burning Lands since launch of the t/s sig. Whenever I try to log in, the game crashes to the desktop. I have posted about this enumerable times, /bug'd it, and even had Gninja and Kander reply in posts that they are aware of this issue. So after having returned from being AFK a week and a half, I find this is still a problem. Is there any recourse short of reapplying /beta?

P.S. I have not checked elsewhere in the forums to see if this has been addressed as I am tired of dealing with it. If there has been, please post a link to it here.

Standing at /loc 99, 4, 424, where the lava is acting like water with tides, coming in, going out rapidly.

Lava is viscous and it doesn't move like this. Lava can move very fast, but it doesn't lap its shores, unless it's bubbling up in an eruption nearby, which does shove lava to the edges, but still not like water in a lake or ocean.
