A mysterious army has appeared upon the shores of Kunark and begun pillaging the land and slaughtering those that oppose them.  Citizens of Dreg's Landing in Kylong Plains, Sathir's Span in Fens of Nathsar, the City of Jinisk in Kunzar Jungle and Danak's Upper Command Camp in Jarsath Wastes are looking for your help in learning about the invaders and defeating them.

The Bellywhumpers in Fens of Nathsar have been alarmed by the appearance of a Void anchor within Kurn's tower. Those that have already worked for the burynai clan should speak with Pulnil the Hagler to help with their investgation.

Currently, there are many issues with the quests that are known, including quest givers in Kylong Plains not being spawned, lack of uniforms, and some NPCs saying "hail dialog" when hailed.  (Whoops!)  But I encourage you to post any bugs and feedback you have about the quest lines here to better ensure I do not miss it.

Thanks and have fun!

*Edited to reflect that as of 6/2 the quest givers in Kylong Plains are present, they have uniforms and no longer say "Hail dialog".

I'll run the quests in its entirety sometime this week or weekend and see if I catch anything.

Couple questions.

1. Have the quest rewards been itemized?

2. I'm assuming this is a lead-up to the next expansion. Will these quests remain in when the next expansion is released? SMILEY

  • Indus Surion should no longer sell "The Freeport’s Guide to Opportunity – 2nd Edition".
  • Navarius Orvalis should no longer sell "Welcome to Qeynos, Citizen! – 2nd Edition".

Are there to be any type of replacements for these?

The Second Quest of the Sathir's Span line "Seek and Destroy" seems uncompleteable as it gives you a copy of one of the tasks, "I am to locate the Order of Rite's first camp" which doesn't seem to update anywhere,

After moving to the Jinisk quests to kill Ice Contructs they seem to be very rare and have a long respawn time for a quest that needs you to slay 8 of the things.

there is suposed to be a quest giver in Dregs landing in KP yet when I was there, there was no one with quests that I could see besides the faction quest givers.

1. Yes.

2. This content is permanent and will remain when the next expansion is released.

Although, I was not the one to make this change, allow me to explain it.  Nothing was removed from game.  Indus no longer sells the Freeport citizenship book, as he is the Qeynos merchant.  Navarius no longer sells the Qeynos citizenship tome as he is the Freeport merchant.

As for the issues you encountered with "Seek and destroy" Corydonn, I will look into it, but it may just be that you had not found the three camps.  (There's two on the edge of the Swamp of No Hope and one at the base of the falls.)

I'll up the number of Ice Contructs.

LtColWulff, the lack of quest givers at Dregs landing in Kylong Plains was a known issue, but I appreciate the heads up!

Alright will go try that 3rd camp now.

After doing a few of the Kunzar Jungle quest lines I noticed that the new fish NPCs "Kunzar Muckshredders," sometimes spawn above the water from the quest Fish Scales and Cat Tails and for the quest Dry Ice it states you need to find Bizarre Ice creatures near the City of Mist which... I seem to have trouble locating.

Third edit, The quest "Swamp Fire Defense" is truly uncompletable as when you place a ward (quest item) it consumes all 6 of the warding items in your inventory and the NPC even when poked has an error in giving more of the ward items.

Either the dazed iksar villagers are not respawning as such, or they are very few and far between (quest "Ethernere Escort" in Kunzar Jungle, city of jinisk.

One person reported having killed some, I've been all over the jungle and found regular villagers but no "dazed" ones.

There are about 2 buildings and 16 or so spawns of Dazed iksar that are close to City of Mist from the Quest giver.

I seem to have gotten stuck again with the Fens questline with the 3rd quest "Clothes off their back" saying to return to Revliss after doing two sets of updates but he has no update journal above his head and states that Sliza Xarezia is waiting.

Edit* Found Sliza in Riliss

THis is in keeping with the theme of the current expansion.  They've been playing out the Void invasion for probably close to a year now if I can remember when all of those annoying Void storms started popping up.

Having played both, TSO is hardly like Gates of Discord/Omens of War.

Well, I haven't played the new invasion on test but I think what Slayan is concerned about is difficulty of the game. When Gates/Omens came out in EQI, people were getting Planes of Power raid geared, some Time geared. So to keep interest in the game they up'd the difficulty level of Gates/Omens expansions to rediculous levels.

It was pretty much reserved for solid raid geared groups or raid forces. It was difficult to explore in a casual or solo/duo senario.  I can attest to the exasperation I felt playing EQI at that time because you had two choices for content. Play Planes of Power to get a chance at good gear , which could take you 10 or more 3 hour raids per piece. Or take your chances in a pickup Gates group etc. For me, a semi-casual player at the time, neither was a great option. I then came to EQII.(and happy I did).

That said, I do not think the powers that be would dare follow that same mistake this time. Though I could be wrong .

There seems to be a complete lack of body drops on all members of the Order of Rime.

Coin, status items, random vender trash, anything. Chest loot is hooked up correctly.

In Jarsath Wastes, it seems on the quest "Gathering Rime Stones" the second part "Defeat the ice spirits to collect elemental ice shards." is not responding to killing the icy spirits. The little turtle dudes don't  update, nor do I have an item to indeed destroy anything.

Any ideas?

So much for Che'Drak being one of a kind....guess they might actually be a sub-species  perhaps?

I'm guessing that these things are non-sentient, as opposed to Chel'Drak. I can't see any creature of true dragon origin being used as an ocean going sled-dog, which seems to be their purpose here.

Clothes Off Their Backs quest in Fens is bugged for me.  I acquired the required armor components.  Quest states I should return to Revliss.  Howevr, Revliss is not highlighted for quest completion and just says they are waiting for the complete set of armor when I hail him.

Unable to advance quest at this point.  Bugged it in game as well.

If you read the dialog when you get the quest, you'll notice that he says to take the armor to someone in Riliss, and even though the quest journal says to take it back to him, if you go to Riliss you will see the NPC that updates the quest.

The bug is in who the quest journal says to talk to next.

Yeah, they're just used as 'sled dogs' here. I couldn't explore up top because it was guarded by two 80^^^'s who see invisible. I'm guessing there will be a zone-in for a dungeon here at some point...

I looked all up and down in Fens near the Swamp of No Hope, and I can only find two camps.

It's not quite obvious that the quest series starts on Sathir's Span unless you're running the zone progression like normal.

I doubt there will be an instance, but they do offer quests, although the first of them seems to be bugged (something to do with collecting elements...).

For "No Word From the Field" in JW, I found a dead Agent of Danak in the Traitor's Pass, but it won't let me update the quest. I'm assuming you have to find the field agents in the proper order to update the quest. Would make more sense to me (assuming this is the right agent) to let you find them in any order.

*Update* I've found multiple Agents of Danak in Traitors Pass, and none of them update the quest.

*Update* I found one Agent of Danak by the lake in Stonehoof Badlands, and it didn't update either. Am I missing something?
