Impairment, placed on an opponent, that has a chance to ward an ally and deal instant Disease damage when the opponent attacks an ally.
Doesn't seem to proc very often. In fact it almost never procs that I've noticed although I haven't systematically tested it
How is everyone else finding this spell?

Apologies, found a previous discussion which concluded the same thing
Someone did point out that Wards will stop this proccing. I just wonder about using this line in situations where we're not warding (eg working with a cleric). Has anyone anything positive to say about this spell or the higher level version Bane of Shielding?

The most positive thing I can say about it is during some ^^^x2 fights, I'll toss it on "just in case". By it, I mean Bane, not Curse.

run a parser like Advanced Combat Stats.  You'll see it parse.  It also has a animation and sound associated with it.  Works best on low avoidance tanks (which is yourself soloing also).

If im being lazy on a raid, generally all I cast is revlusions line, absement, and bane line.It procs a lot on orange mobs (tarinax, chel'drak, matron, the thing from nizara) because your tank doesnt avoid heir hits very often..

If I'm not in the MT group I'll use it. I'll also use it on endurance fights. When your trying to conserve power the proc becomes more noticable. If it procs enuf its definitly worth the power spent, it can be very efficient.

Havent tried the spell (Bane actually) in group settings yet, but works great solo. On blue mobs I throw it as a pull. On tougher mobs I cast a full ward first, go through all my debuffs/dots and at the end of the line, throw the bane. I usually dont need to cast another main ward or even heal. There are definitely times when it procs multiple times in one encounter.

I love this spell. When soloing I can take out white ^ mobs without casting any heals or wards thanks largely to this spell. It is not overly smart of course, but it has become an odd point of pride that I don't heal myself when soloing. I'm still a dirge at heart, so I am infatuated with Defiler debuffs.
If you want to see it proc like crazy, find a named with lots of double down arrow friends. Cast CoS on each of the little guys. They will ward for far more than they hit for and will end up doing all your healing for you. My group even held off killing the little guys with AEs so that I could do this because they found the proc so amusing.
Of course, while your waiting on the refresh timer on the debuff you have to ward etc. It is worth looking for a Master scroll for this one, they sell very cheaply on my server and it is gold well spent.

I see this proc all the time, in raids, in groups, soloing... when it procs she throws her hands in the air and if you have particles on you can actually see the spell... I don't think I ever noticed it to be broken.
