I cant do the final shissars. I can close the portal, have my hotbar, but they are hitting me for over 450k hit points, twice. I am using the buff that is supposed to mitigate 75% of the damage. They move very slow and you think you can kite, and then they start running after I start moving. Merc does nothing, so not calling him in for the fight. I am a wizard in potent gear, level 98. around 475k hit points.

I suggest you reset the zone, delete the quest and regain it. Everything should clear up and you should have much better luck!

The first time this happened, they fixed it, but it seems that the new patch yesterday broke it again.

I am not for sure what changed (if anything), but I had logged out about 2 hours earlier to take a break and just came back. I had reset earlier, but was still getting destroyed by the final x4s. They were hitting me for about 78k each. However, after logging back in, I was able to kill the three mobs at the end (I did not reset or anything, was still in the zone). I did notice they were only hitting for about 67k this time though. (I did not change any armor or anything)

I did not really do anything different except pull them first before the portal. I would stand at max range, with my Merc off to the side (out of any frontals), and just start nuking (and hitting the shield buff and heal anytime they were up). Do not move at all and the mobs would slowly walk to you. This let me get them to about 65ish% before they got to me.

Working on the last fight. Portal closed. The heals are pretty much useless with the spells: scaled Rej, and Shissarian life draw. Venomous bite isn't throwing anyone anywhere. Shielding Scales ..... if it's reducing all dmg by 75% these guys are doing WAY too much dmg. Shisar dude hit me for 938,710 dmg.... I only has 312,806 health!
Not bothering with character/pet/merc dmg, its pointless.

right now I have 3.7 experience debt. yay me!

Also, sitting at 35.8% into lvl 98, with 100% going to AE.... hopefully there'll be more quests when the xpac goes live?

A little more info here: I just ran this 3 times. Once with my SK who has 930k hp. He had no problem whatsoever. His hp never even dropped a sliver. I just stood there targeting the snakes one at a time and just pressing the abilities as they became available. No sweat.

I ran it on my BL and ranger who both have about 630k hp and they got one shotted each time I ran it.

I wonder if there some kind hp check in place here. If you are below a certain number the instance doesn't work but if you are above it then it does. Either that or it only works properly for SKs.

Another update: ran this again, this time with my SK and ranger standing side by side in the same instance.

At the start my ranger got aggro and sure enough he was killed in two shots. My SK remained and his hp never dropped at all.
After I killed the first snake on my SK I revived my ranger. For last two snakes I had my ranger placed behind my SK so he wouldnt get aggro and I was able to kill them both without any problems.

So I think there might be something to my theory. Hopefully you devs can figure it out before monday.

During the first wave, stand in one of the light columns. The columns have orange(?) light rings at the bottom. Attack the shissars. Stay in the column until you see the message about your body can't take it any more. Move the the next column, etc. The named didn't attack me until I finished off the three shissars. I was on my shadowknight and running an inquisitor on my second computer for inquisition. I barely had enough orange ring time to finish off all three. I wouldn't have made it without the two inquisitions from my inquisitor.

I'm having no luck either Frown
Deleted the quest, reset the zone, mended (again).
Looking at my log for my necro every second I'm getting hit for about 100k damage (this is with the Shielding Scales spell running) - my necro (now about half way through level 98) starts with about 516k hps, the heal spell gives me back about 50k health (and another 15k 3 seconds later - I was dead before the next tick), but still I don't survive long even running away from the mob as fast as my legs can carry me.

Same here on conjie - just getting instantly wiped. Pet goes first in and lasts roughly a second and I follow about 5 seconds later. No chance to run away. Please get it fixed before Monday - would hate to have got this far through and not get the reward Smile

Just thinking that the DR applies to a single target .... so it's super bad for pet classes ;-)
but pet is not usefull on this fight except for transference.

Anyway the DR (shield) should probably be groupwide, do doing mercenaries (which may e important for non healer/tank may survive .... may be the %base HOT should be groupwide too since mercenaries are stupid enough and never heal themselves (often my paladin heals stamper, because he wants his cure bot and stamper buf + verdict)

I am trying this fight right now. Abilities were not populated on a given hot bar so I had to fish them out. Good thingis that I know how they look like. Healing cannot keep up with damage inflicted and it seems the thow back ability doesn't thow back anything. Killed one in a middle in the second group but still cannot kill two more. I am coercer. Drive me crazy. Honestly speaking.

EDIT: it seems like a throw back ability works opposite and increases the mob's speed. He runs much quicker toward me. Kiting doesn't work for me.

It's all in vein. Will have to give up on finishing it. Unfortunately.

When I ran this I was using my 100 SK with beta buff merchant gear and no adornments at around 490,000 HP. I was two boxing my inquisitor, but I just let her stand at the top of the hallway. I hit the shield buff, then pulled the left one out of the center square, and I kited it around the outer square. The only abilities I used were on the new abilities bar. I didn't waste any clicks on my abilities. Every time the shield buff cooled down I immediately cast it again. I did not wait until it almost expired. I would estimate that my total health never dropped below 90%. I can't remember if I did the middle one or the one on the right next. One I got the rhythm, it went fairly smoothly.

The order seemed to matter to me. When I tried to pull the right one first, he clobbered me. Next time around I started on the left and worked my way to the right and I had no trouble. Does the order really matter, or did I get lucky?

There is no specific order I dont think but there is definitely a specific cast order on the spells you need to use to kill these. I just think everyone is having issues because they are not using the proper cast order maybe?

I pulled the right hand side one(if facing the room from the doorway) first(body pulled it to me) out in the hallway right near where it originally was. I killed it in a matter of seconds. I then went around the other side and killed the far left one the same way died just as fast. I then pulled the center one out into the small hallway area and same result. I did not kite or move just stood there and cast the abilities on him.

1. Just cast the abilities they give you dont worry about your mercenary or using your own spells/ca's or your pets etc just leave them be.
2. There are 3 damage abilities, look at their cast times, there should be one that has a long cast and two that have short cast time on them.
3. Then there is your heart(heal), and your shield.

Cast the shield first then pull the mob.
Cast the longest cast time ability first
Cast your heal
Cast the other two shorter damage abilities
Cast the heal every single time it comes up, watch and cast the shield fast when it comes up same as the heal.
Trick is to just watch your shield and heal cast the others(damage abilities) later and cast the longest cast time damage one first before the others while your shield and heal are down.

One other note for the tanks. Since I was only going to use the abilities on the bar, and none of my own, I chose to go into defensive stance. I figure every boost to defense I could get would help.

no matter what casting order I try I cannot kill neither left nor right invaders.

EDIT: killed them with kiting. Finally! Phew!

Used Tabri's casting order. Thanks!

Thanks for very interesting signiture questline! There were few frustrations along the road but it was interesting nonetheless.
Now I am thinking that is good that we all here decided to test it because we now know what to expect and how to deal with shissars Smile

Thanks again developers!

Unfortunately using Tabris casting order doesn't help me, I'm dead far too quickly,
Having beta-buffed to 100 and increased my health a bit, I still cant survive long when I'm getting hit for 80k a second, the healing spell just doesn't heal for even close to that amount, looks like I'm not gonna finish the sig line Frown - so close to the end.

Have you tried kiting around the outer square? I barely got hit when doing that. I was beta bugged to 100 with the beta buff gear.

I was having the same problem. Couldn't kill them till the very last time.
What I did (i am coercer buffed to 100 geared though a bit better: one gemmed mystic gear and a couple of potent overcharged) I pulled right one out beyond the square area where dragan and aileen are. Before pulling a shissar i casted a shield and then a venom sthng ability (longest on a casing time: 1sec) and just run like crazy around the area never stoping and casting everything on a run whatever is up. Running helped me to get enough time to heal. Never stop, just run and cast, run and cast. But you are right. One hit and almost a half of hp is gone. It's crazy. Then i pulled the left one and did run and cast thing again. The middle shissar was the easiest one. I killed him the last. Didnt even have to pull him out for a run. Just stayed in the middle and killed him with no losing much health at all. Good luck!

EDIT: forgot to add. You may want to uncheck the box in option with facing avatar or npc. It helps to not face the mob when you fight. Thus you can see where you run. You will still be able to hit the mob b/c you target them.

Also keep in mind that you can cast while running. Increase your speed if you can. I also think I was not even autoattacking.

I ended up getting help with this quest, the running away just didnt work for me (and yes I'd turned auto-face off) - when I was running the mob was obviously keeping up with me and hitting me for 80k a second and the heals just weren't enough to cover that at all, my best attempt I got nearly three quarters of the way round the square before dying.
So yes, thanks very much to Ennia who came and helped me kill all the mobs, she could stand toe-toe with the mobs without taking much damage at all, and two people with the codex abilities made short work of the mobs.

Ahh, when I did it, kiting hadn't been fixed yet and the mobs were getting the run speed buff instead of me Tongue

I ran this with a tank. I didn't have time for a second character to run the quest line. It will be interesting to see how it goes on the live servers with conjuror. I suspect I will dismiss my pet during the second wave.
