Quest : Plagued With Questions
NPC : Waulon Highpebble

I was able to finish this quest however sea anglers are far and few. I did however find a grouping of them around the southern portion of Grim Shales, the northern most island in the Phantom Sea, approximate location -790,0,-440.

1: There is a bug the uncurable debuff Corpse Run does not go away after the quest completion, and it stays after you zone, you die and rez, you camp, it stays on you forever. This debuff makes you see everything in black and white, which is really annoying.
2: Ossuary of Malevolence: Primordial Altar, is unavailable for quest advancement.
3: The mobs in Ossuaru: Resonance of Malice [Solo] has incredible amount of HP (more than 5 heroic ^^^ mob), took along time to kill 1 mob and the xp reward was 40.

Please look into these issues.

Momentary peace for bloody kithicor
The quest item does not apply to the mobs with the icon. It works on skeletons and the same mob can be used to validate the 12 updates

Can some GM help me to get the incurable detrimental spell "Corpse Run" off my toon? The entire screen is black and white and very bright. I cannot get rid of it by dying, camping, zoning. You get dizzy after you play with this color scheme after a while. I petitioned in-game, and GM asked me to make a post. Who should I ask to fix this issue on my character?

Ack! It's meant to be removed when you go back for your corpse. It is next to the last step of the quest "Touch of the Undead."

I bugged it in game but thought I'd mention it here as well. When I got back to my corpse, there were actually two of them about 5 meters apart. Probably because of Persistence (Brigand death save AA).

There was a special circumstance there though, I was grouped with another player. I think when I did my part it was ok but then the zone crashed for some reason, but when he was doing his update I got ported to the dock with Corpse Run on me while I already have the update from the previous kills. Perhaps it is the crash messed up the quest, or it is the 2 people in group bugged it. We also sees 2 bodies 5 meters apart with the same name. I also heard other people having the same issue. Hope these conditions can help you better troubleshoot the bug.

And in addition, is there any word on the open time for the Ossuary zone for the signature quest?

That helped a lot, Xray! Thank you for those details! I'm glad to know that it wasn't everyone getting stuck with that black and white vision spell.

I've submitted the following fixes:
  • Touch of the Undead - Group mates that have already completed this quest will no longer be targeted with the "corpse run" spell.
  • Touch of the Undead - If you helped a group member complete this quest, and were stuck with the spell "corpse run" approaching Waulon Highpebble at the Wanderer's Dock on Kithicor Island will resolve the issue.
I am not sure when they will be on the Beta server, but they are on their way!

Additionally, the zone "Ossuary of Malevolence: Primordial Altar" (used in the quest "Shattered Seas: Seeds of Malice") should be made available later today.available now!

Cruor Vitae's Ground and pound hits you for 1.797715 dmg

the revive point works great though! =p

EDIT: no, no it doesn't.. after you have all your updates and athe "More clues" boss spawns, it spawns in aggro range of the revive point. Ooo maker her non aggressive? or nudge her away from the revive slightly.

EDIT EDIT: She has a SUPER TON OF HP, and melees for 200k+ an autoattack. I don't think she's right, or she's not the clues I'm looking for.

Oh, and you can slip past those curtains into the unpopulated, non quest portions of the zone. But not back in. The evac point is the same as the revive point, in aggro range of unkillable mc boss lass.

98 Bruiser

Cruor Vitae is hitting WAY too hard, 2m crushing dmg with ~11k mit

lvl 99 ^ skeletal obscenity also has a 1-hit KO - Skull smash, hit me for 1m crushing dmg

Even the 'weak' and 'standard version are using Skull Smash that hits for 600k+ and Ground and Pound for 400k

Auto attacks are hitting me for 200k on these 2 mobs. Cultists appear to have reasonable hp and damage output

Final boss is unkillable. Appears to have 100% strikethrough, as a bruiser i was unable to avoid a single auto unless i had a 100% avoidance temp running. Hitting me for 200k damage per swing.

Also her health does not move, 33 second fight, did 8 million dmg, her hp still was at 100%.

Cannot complete zone in its current state.

Thank you very much for the fix, however:

The last mob's HP needs to be looked at, fought for a long time and got him to 98% only, and he has a buff called "Undying" upon death heals him back to 2%. Is there script that I am missing?

Other mobs also has issue on their HPs, for instance the solo instance of Ossuary (excessive amount of HP), and the floating mob in the grave yard area outside Ossuary(1 shotted, No HP), and a mob (after you get the key and after you open the chest) in Brokenskull Bay solo instance(1 shotted, No HP).

Hope these gets fixed soon, especially the one in Ossuary so we can advance our quests for real.

I found the mobs that were extremely large, hit like trucks, so I invis-ed for updates. However I suspect the final update is this character Villandre V`Zher.
  1. He is too close to the revive point, so I do suggest you move him to the east about 20-25 meters.
  2. Currently unable to kill him. Frown

Captain Greymast - his crew updates are too hard to find; the clues are too vague, and i assume you must circle the rim of the island for hours until finally pinpointing the first update, and then repeat frustration for the next two.
Redeeming Qualities - Cynaris Plant updates are too sparse imo.

So just a heads up to future people doing these quests, ROIs are not implemented yet, Kaitheel is still working on them so once those are in you will have a better idea of where to go with these quests, just a downside to first week of beta.

Primordial Altar is a lot like the [solo] version, not tuned towards level at all, the [advanced solo] is much easier than both.

I'm gathering the lorpa vines... I would strongly encourage upp'ing the number that are out there considerably... have been flying all over the cliffs (and island) for about 2 hours and have only come across 3/6 :/

Villandre V'Zher In Primordial Altar, Is that who we need to kill to get the update for-search the Ossuary for more clues , this named seems impossiable, got tried of dieing on the trash so used invis to get the frist 4 updates , I looked behind the curtains on the sides and only found 4 107^^^ sipders that where grouped. no clickies that I could find. If Villandre V'Zher is who we need to update the quest , maybe could take a few of them billion hp off!

Quest: Caustic Collecting

Harvesting these crystals is just dumb... have harvested over 60 of them and am still only 4/8 because they all shatter...... at least make it a 50% chance of success...

Edit: well over 150 harvests now and still only 4/8... beyond stupid rate!!!!!

I had the same issue. After getting 4/8 I spent at least a half hour with them breaking, and then I saw in general chat someone mentioned that they took a break doing that quest after their 4 and similar experience.

So I stopped for a bit and returned and was able to get the last 4 in short order. Not sure if that's just broken or designed that way.

Agreed took me quite too much to get them, but unlike you i spend like 30-40mn finding the 1st one, then i got the other 8 in like 5mn ... they were all around and i knew what to look for.

Yes.
  • Starter Ability: This is where rogues and predators will gain Detect Weakness, which will let you know what type of stats your target is currently using. Beastlords gain an ability that will help keep their warder alive and bards will gain a new mobility song. You can spend a total of 1 point in this ability and it only has one rank.

Quest: Touch of the Undead

This isn't really a bug as the quest can update... but when you get jumped under the bridge and have to return to your mortal body.. the description of corpse run is that our soul was ripped from our body by Darathar... might wanna update the description, people might suspect it's recycled from ToV Smile
