remind me, which name is this? I am guessing the 2nd to last name that ports to the top of the thing and summons a billion adds at you?
if that's the case it's a real simple fight, you just burn the adds (the adds hard target the healer when they come so be ready to pick the healer up if they die) and just range dps the name while he is on the thing

on the today try, we have move the grp close to the globe, and use defiler/channeler for cure. Kill on first pull. The only "problem", was the "you can't see the target"..

After we have kill the last one, is a very funny fight XD

Well Ive tried the last boss of Thresinits den with multiple groups and i can suffice to say its the most annoying boss battle this expansion, And i still have not beaten it!

The fear is the worst thing ever, especially on the adds, nobody can melee the adds without getting feared and die, The hit detection on the boss is very buggy in where 4 times out of 10 myself as the tank gets feared (Seems completely random as i can try to hit him from the back and sometimes i get feared!). The Curse heals for way too much in where it makes the entire fight really drawn out, The spider mechanic is silly because his increments still go up even if you have a dedicated spider runner, His increments should really go up or down depending on the amount of spiders around.

Also the detection on his Flesh decay seems to be completely random sometimes (I have died when behind a box before i swear)

The only fun part (Partially minus the adds) is killing the death dens, But with stunning the boss and getting feared half the time its still a chore, and the boss battle is really not fun in anyway.

My suggestion for improvements to make it challenging but fun

1: Remove the fear from the adds so people can melee them
2: Change how the spider increments work
3: Work on the detection of hitting the boss to stun them
4: Make the curse heal for 1/2% a second instead of what it is right now.
5: Do not get rid of the buff he gets from the curse, thats a challenging but fine thing to overcome
6: Probably have the death counter (Where he gets a buff for every person he has killed) go away after a while if no one has died for a while. (Im not sure on this myself, Maybe calm the aoe damage a bit)

Its a great boss battle in theory but in execution its a chore and a half, I love Ssarzha temple which i know is another one of yours, Thats a challenging yet really fun dungeon, and saying that the rest of Thresinit's den has been fun its just this boss is a bit of a pain.

P.S Sorry for the rant and everything Chrol you are a great designer and such its just this boss has been the biggest frustrating road block as its also my last dungeon for my achievement.

The only fear would be from any frontal attacks on Thresinet while the dens are still up.

Regarding the hatchlings, there are many that spawn all over the room and continue to do so until she dies. Each one that spawns increments Frenzied Wrath by one. Each one you step on and kill decrements it by one. So while it may appear it's not helping by having a dedicated spider runner, it would be a lot worse without someone taking care of them.

The targeting of Flesh Decay should stick for the full length of the spell cast, so as soon as you see her calling out who she's targeting, it's safe to move to the next stack of crates. (Flesh Decay used to be a targeted AE, yikes!)

For the curse, I'll see about reducing the heal per tick.

we were getting the fear off the spawns from the dens anytime someone would melee last nite. we had to range the adds to keep from it happening. it was not the named from then named.

Like Jaelissa, the adds were constantly fearing melee dps except for myself as a guardian but i think thats due to my mythical weapon power.

Also i never noticed the Frenzied Wrath going down at all, It just kept ticking up no matter how hard we tryed so it would eventually kill our dps and then the aoe would go crazy, I think it may need to be reworked somehow.

By the Flesh decay i mean i have died before while standing behind a box which has been really strange (mainly the front boxes)

Thanks for the change to the curse, I greatly appreciate it.

Also thanks for watching us that time in Ssarzha temple, (I was Mellani lol)

Were these adds being fought behind the crates closest to Thresinet by chance? I wonder if maybe AEs were hitting Thresinet while you all were fighting the zombies. I can add AE immunity to her during this phase if that's the case.

the times it happend it was the second closest set and the closest set. but we stopped doing melee after that so dont know if it would have done it at the further ones cause we didnt take the chance.


(and btw Mellani I was dybbuk last nite in your group)

Daggerstorm was making our dirge very sad with fears. Yeah, toss her AE immunity please. That curse heal tick is pretty brutal still, makes for a pretty brutal DPS check, with it healing 10% or more in 2s.

My suggestions are either:
Curse applied to a specific target, so it can be precured by the cast bar.
or
Curse heals boss for less (give the mob more hp if needed)

ran the zone and found the "special quest", was pretty humorous, although we ran the wrong way and stuff and was still able to complete it in time

The curse is (was) like the last named in hk in ToV. The named call "extract life", and after is place the curse on a player. Once every 65/66s, and after 3s is selfheal. Don't seems very hard to me ..

For the fear you need just one person beyond the named all the time (with the den up, of course). The named turn on the grp direction, so.. if the person responsible to hit the named from the back, is already in position on the opposite from the grp, will be able to hit very very fast. without any problem.

For the little spider, are pop in all room, or just closer to the named?

The curse will now only heal Thresinet for 1% per tick, and not on the first tick. It would also heal her to full health if it expired naturally (after 10 seconds). That has been removed.
