So what does everyone recommend spending the first 20 AAs in the new DoV heroic AA section?

Fyfe - 92 Troubador - Unrest

Quinleigh - 90 Fury - Unrest

Rylaar - 90 Ranger - Unrest

Fife - 60 Troubador - Test

First row : 10 in agi, or 10 in HP if you raid and die a lot

Second row : 10 in crit bonus

then go towards the VC - RO  buff for the raids but only raids

great end line group buff at the end of it, but really vc and ro suck atm

so when solo I m going towards the veil of notes, its a great tool to use soloing

as far as end line goes Im still debating

For raids, cadence of destruction is definitly my choice for endline. Gets my potency up to about 160% and the grand finale hits for 40k+. Recast is very quick so can usually use it at least twice on any give named.

Also it allows me to to reach 20k+ VC's, which is obviously still a fraction what we used to get but its still not bad really for a group damage buff.

As a raiding troub, I thought about this very differently.

If you are getting new upgrades you are rapidly losing ability mod.  Despite developer comments that Ability Mod was being de-emphasized, I found my parses suffered without it.  Further, agility is coming in bushels, whereas all you can do is basically lose mod going forward.  Therefore, I have pushed mod over agility.

With respect to potency, crit bonus, and crit chance on the second tier, the best option depends entirely on what new gear you got and what you are fighting.  If you are raiding (even easy mode) or going to Kael Drak and have not gotten new weapons, you will probably want to look at your crit chance first.  You may think your current 125-145 crit chance is fine, but when mobs deduct 100 crit from your base, your crit rate is horrible.  If you rarely crit, CB is meh.  As before, Crit Bonus will be king once you get your crit to the right level vs. your target, but initially you may want to think about crit chance and then respec once your crit chance from gear rises.

Regarding RO/VC and extended RO... I'm not yet sure.  With gimped VC, I'm not sure increasing RO from 10 to 11 seconds is worth it.  I'd love to see some parses if anyone has tested.  How big is the VC hit difference if you put 10 pts in use/reuse vs. RO?  Wouldn't getting an additional shrill in your rotation be similar impact while also raising your general dps?

Fully agree with cadence for raiding.

heres my spec - this is for raiding hard mode content, and this is a early spec - the spec will evolve as I get more gear.

http://www.beetny.com/eq2aa/[email protected]@[email protected]@21

currently. we have killed somewhere between 5-10 HM names, I really havent kept count, all easy mode content was cleared rather easily. this spec is more defensive then normal, as hard mode content is very unforgiving if your HP is low, or choose to not use BD.

some reasoning in the spec - with VC so severly nerfed, I dont feel its worth putting AA into it anymore. in truth, its almost useless now. its so low on the DPS now, that it really feels the AA spent getting VC is a waste. at first I was absolutly 100% for nerfing VC, as by the end of SF, peoples whines about "why didnt I get a 260k VC" got old... and incinerate VCs really reduced my toon down to nothing more then a 10 second buff bot.

but here, after the VC nerf, it feels the VC nerf was FARRRRRR too hard on it, it took it down to almost being useless.

BD... hate it, hate it, hate it.... I hate this spec, I hate this spec, I hate this spec.... I hate this spec....

its such a huge commitment of AA to get 1 ability. the BD spec has always made me wanna quit playing the bard... I cant stand having to wait around 5 minutes or more, waiting for BD, on a failed pull, when learning new content.

but for now, its a necessary evil. content will get easier, as we kill it more, and people get DoV geard up more. so I deal with it.... but did I mention I hate it?

dex sonata crit - a necessity. HM content requires upwards of 350 - 400 crit, thats the highest I know of so far (soren the vindicator has 300 crit avoid - and that 1 zone with the bridge at the front, the trash has 275 crit avoid)

I dont spec much for potency, or crit bonus as you see, as both are extremely common on gear - where cast speed, and reuse are not.... and with DA uncapped, whos really gonna use any other adorn besides DA adorns? not me... but I wanna keep my cast and reuse up to a fair degree atleast.

cadence - all 3 endlines are solid really. each has its benifits, and I personally wouldnt say any are better or worse then the other. the endlines for us bards, really just comes down to your play style. cadence just suited me better then the others.
