All attendees to Receive Both Expansions for Free as Part of Living Legacy Program!

WTH!!!!!!!!

So the long term players got screwed as part of the first Living Legacy program and now we get screwed becuase we could not make the trip to Vegas.

How about a little love for the rest of us SOE?  Is that to much to ask?

Total BS

It's a "thank you" gift for attending and for being a part of the EQ/SOE community. Nothing wrong with that.

If I had gone, I might have received it, too. But I didn't go and I will receive nothing. No problem. It doesn't bother me that those who went were given the gift.

I am sure that many of the attendees are also long term players. The difference is that they took the extra effort to go to Fan Faire and we didn't. I think they deserve the recognition by being given the expansions.

They got their recognition.http://forums.station.sony.com/station/posts/list.m?topic_id=11500010514Now how about a little love for the long term players. Its getting a little old that SOE is not showing us any love for being a long term player.

That was for pre-registering. This was for actually being there.

Oprah does it. Dr. Phil does it. Montel did it. And, so does SOE.

How about we paid $89 to go to this thing, and we actually got something out of it. Why do you deserve a copy for sitting at home?

Not saying I should get a copy for staying home.  These free expansions where part of the Living Legacy Program.  I am getting tired of the long term SOE players getting the shaft from SOE as part of the Living Legacy Program.  Yes it was nice of SOE to give the FF attendes the expansions.

Now I am asking that SOE step up and take care of the long term players and how about showing some love to those players that have the Station Access accounts.

SOE keeps talking about the Living Legacy Program as a reward to its players but we long term players have yet to see anything as part of the program.  I do not wish to hear that there is a rumor of something for the long term players in the spring.  Thats just stuiped to ask us to wait that long for SOE to tell us what the program is.  Lets get moving SOE and tell the player base what they are going to do fo us.

sony dont care about any of the long term players that had to spend 40-60 bucks for every flipping expansion. all they care about is the almighty buck and what the "i can only play 10 min a day and I am entitled to what any raider gets" mentality. just look at the "special" zone tweeks they have done the last few months. they actually now have players convinced that ranking on eq players really means something, when it dont. the fact of the matter is you can be the #1 ranked player in gear, but still have NO skill and knowledge of the toon. sony is really not worried about anything in eq1. if they were, they would stop coming out with worthless crap cards games and buggie expansions and actually fix what they have. I was really looking forward to vangard, was in beta for months. then sony stepped in and ruined that as well. OMG, it was too hard for the average 10 year to play so it to was dumbed down.

Gonig to Fan Faire cost not only the 89 for registration but we also paid for all the other things such as hotel and travel.  Every year people get things for going to FF, so this is no different.  However, the long time players are getting something from the Living Legacy events and content being added, plus the extra attention the game has been getting due to this event.  The expansion will most likely not cost 89, so if from no other angle you can see it as you get a discount by not having to spend 89 for an expansion that will probably cost you $19-29.

The whole purpose of this program is to get more players back into the game which will increase our server populations and give us more people to play and interact with.  Personally I would rather have more people than have a trinket or bag or potion cause I've been around.  Also keep in mind, those returning players don't get veteran rewards, those are designed to give the long time subscribers something special for being around.  As for the station access, you get all those extra character slots that regular suscribers don't get right now.

Marketing works the same in every arena.  New cable and cellphone customers get perks that people who already have service don't, yeah doesn't seem quite right, but you've also been able to enjoy using that service all that time as well, and that's gotta count for something.

I am a long term player--I attended fan faire. I'm getting my free expansion. I'm betting the vast majority of the players who attended Fan Faire are long term players. We all got the expansion, therefore the long term players are getting the love. I'm unsure what the problem is.

I'm right there with you, although this was my first Fan Faire, so I've been on the other side and felt the little ping when I found out what goodies the people who went got.  But thats the way it works, you make the trip and put forth the effort and you get a little extra reward.  Everyone I talked to at FF had been playing for many years, many like myself who'd been playing many of the SOE titles since they started.

I to have played most of the SOE games since they launched.  Heck I was even in the early beta for SWG.  I like many long term players did not feel the need to attend Fan Faire.  There are even some long term players that coud not make it to Fan Faire if they wanted to.

To say that all long term players attend fan faire is a logical fallacy.  Some did and some did not.  I bet even some new players were at fan faire.

Here is an example that you might understand.

  • Cheese is food.
  • Food is delicious.
  • Therefore, cheese is delicious.
  • Hmmm the above statment is not true, much like the one you made about all the long term players attend fan faire.  So again I ask "Where is the love for the long term players?"

I will state again that I do not begrudge the players at fan faire getting items.  That is as it should be.  I am only asking "What is SOE going to do for the long term players?"

Not what did they do for expired accounts and not what did they do for people at Fan Faire.

It is time for SOE to step up and show they care about the player base and not just the super fans that feel the need to use their vaction time/money to attend an fan event.  I think it is great that you went to fan faire I haope you had a great time.  All of that means nothing to my question.

Do you like playing SOE games? From this end, you seem as if you don't. I suppose you can always ask to play for free because you are a long term player. It seems as if you feel that SOE owes you something.

SOE does not owe anyone anything, sir. All they ever promised when you agreed to the terms is to provide updates and a constantly evolving game. Where is it in the User Agreement did anyone say that players of long standing will be rewarded with specialitems, bonuses or gifts?

Do you not understand why those that attended Fan faire were given gifts and those that didn't received none?

Heck, I stated above that Oprah and Dr. Phil sometimes do this for their attending audiences. Audience members have received books, electronics and even cars just for being there. Yet, there are millions of loyal viewers, those that purchase the products of the sponsers of the shows (therefore, you can consider them paying customers) who never received one of these gifts.

Oprah, a few weeks ago, gave her attending audience a copy of every Tom Cruise movie. I wish I had been there. I never thought that she owed me this. All she ever promised her audience was an entertaining and informative show.

The gifts issued to attendees was SOE's way of saying "Thank you for being loyal customers and for attending our Fan Faire".

If you really want these things for free, go to Orah, 's, Dr. Phils's and SOE's shows.

I can't believe that you are really upset over this. Is there something more to it?

Okay. This is really my final statement on this subject. I really don't think anything will change because of it. Good bye.

Kinda lame arguement little dude. I imagine you are too young to have gone to any business conventions, or perhaps you never had the chance. There are always perks to ATTENDING an event. Whether in game (Living Legacy raids, GM Events, ETC) or in real life.. Real life is that thing that you exit your paren't basement to experiance. Perks and goodie bags are for people that pay money to attend. We didn't get an expansion for "free." We paid hard earned CASH to get it. Airfare $300 Hotel = 3 x $139 All Access pass = $89 Dinner and many drinks at Quarks before it goes = priceless Now what was the arguement?

First of all for someone who claims to argue on a logical basis please exlain how you were able to logically deduce what I am able to understand .

Secondly what you call "non cheerleader mode" I call being a arguemenative, whiny, obnoxious crybaby. Of course this is only my personal opinion. I invite anyone else who happens to see this post to take a look through Lekos past comments and give your opinion as well.

    1) Non cheerleader mode

    2) arguemenative, whiny, obnoxious crybaby

    3)(insert your own opinion)

Actually reading all your past posts together is actually pretty funny

From the lack of SOE response you could logically surmise that no one at SOE really cares about your crying and moaning disguised as concern for long term players.

Wether I care or not is irrelevant since I cannot do anything to address your pissant complaints. I would be interested to hear how you used logic to deduce in any of my previus statements that I care though.
