Smokejumper Introduces Holly “Windstalker” Longdale, New EverQuest II Producer

Hi there, Norrathians!

As many of you know, I’m the Executive Producer in charge of the entire EverQuest franchise, including EQ, EQII, and the upcoming (and very different) “EverQuest Next.” For the last two years, I’ve also been the Producer for your EverQuest II world, and it’s been absolutely a blast working with the team, the game, its features, and most of all, its players.

However, our company’s visions for the EQ Franchise are bigger in scope than what I can coordinate alone on EQII while also overseeing the rest of the franchise...

The only thing they had to say in their interview concerning the current state of the game is how great the dungeon maker is. Still in absolute shambles itemization doesn't even seem to be on the radar for this new addition, at least not enough to make a bold statement acknowledging they realize it is an issue and are going to see that it get the focus it needs. We have another shill for the SC shop and anything and everything but game/combat mechanics issues. Joy Joy.

When I see Holly Windstalker in game I call her a censored word, the only other time I called a mob/NPC that word was the butterfly collector in TS and I loathe Holly at least 4 times more. May you not live up to the opinion I have of that name SMILEY

You did not provide an option to pick like them putting the "proper stats on equipment based on the class that it says it is for." You might find it interesting that items that say all scouts only have STR and STA on them, I consider it to be an error and pretty grossly negligent that they have remained in the game for as long as they have. I also find it a very fitting question for the new producer asking them what they plan on doing about it, maybe it isn't an issue to you, but it is to others. One of the producers primary responsibilities is to oversee the development of the game, for whatever reason this area has been neglected to the extreme for the past year, and SJ seemed incapable of seeing that it got done. There is nothing unreasonable about presenting this concern to the new producer at all.
