Monk DPS @ level 31

I dont know if parsing a single encounter against a solo mob while in a group is an accurate way of judging dps...my average dps at 35 is in the 45-60 range.

it was after a level 35 ^^ named group mob with 4 adds...dunno which mob that parse was on. Group had 2 bards though so agi was near 200.

That parser has a couple of options for triggering when it calcs the dps..the default is when you gain exp. I generally switch it to use encounter exp so it doesnt give dps per kill or only does on group mobs.

thats about right at 45 my dps is usually in the 150-160 range

ok let me refrase this my dps is that one certian occasions and im sure my crook helps with the aoe dmg proc and when fighting an ideal mobs.

The parser starts calculating damage when it "sees" in your text window that YOU begin fighting.

So, for instance, if you personally did not start fighting a particular MOB until it was half dead, then used all your high damage abilities real quick and the MOB died soon before you had to wait for the all the loooooong refresh timers to reset, you would be calculating your "burst" DPS or your DPS for all of about 15 seconds.

You can't sustain that kind of DPS at level 31 in any fight with any MOB that lasts longer than 20 - 25 seconds. Notice how Okachan only did a total of 558 damage during that fight ? I can do that much damage in a matter of seconds with Winter's Talen and any other high damaging attack.

Basically, at lv 34, I AVERAGE about 55 - 60 DPS on most fights and have hit 94 DPS on one particular encounter.

111.6 is a nice burst of damage but it is hardly an accurate example of a Monk's DPS.

This is true.. Often I have seen healers out DPS my Warlock for the simple fact that they normally just tose down a nuke at the end of the fight.. It's kind of funny seeing people [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] about being out DPSed by a healer..DPS isn't the inportant part it's the damage dealt.. That is a better indication of your classes damage abilities..

You should be doing better than 35 dps at your level. I'm doing 35-45 on average at level 28 fighting mobs that are level 32ish, so can't see there being no increase in dps in the next 7 or so levels. I haven't really been able to parse out anything since getting Dragon Stance, but i assume it makes a noticeable difference as well... All i can say is check your weapons...
