![]() Looking to level up a Priest alt who will be healing a Monk. I'd like to know, from your experience, which of the sub-classes works out best as the main healer when a Monk is the main tank. Thanks in advance.

![]() Gotta be a shaman, imo. Their wards are the best, and monks, due to their deflection abiltites, take the most advantage from that type of healing.

I have heard that post lvl 20-25 a fury is a good choice, as they have good agility buffs. I can't back this up though, just read it somewhere on the baords.

I would say Druid or Shaman. The agility buffs from the Druid are fantastic++

Can't go wrong with druid or shammy. I'm not sure why, but I've seen people wraggin on wardens (the less frequently chosen druid path - at least on Innothule) when really they are a great class. I've tanked with a few that performed very well, even though their agility buffs aren't as nice as the fury's.

Fury or shaman would probably be best. Warden wouldn't be a bad choice. Either cleric type would be the worst choice.

I have a 24 druid and a 24 shaman. Shaman wards are the suck around level 20-30, because they do not take into account armor at all. Since a monk has little ac anyway, and work off avoidence shaman is a nice choice, but do not be suprised if your ward does go away after 1 hit. Shaman also seem to buff STR, STA, and some hp. Their slows are decent but do not expect anything like the shaman slows in EQ1. The shaman slows in EQ2 will slow a mobs attack speed by maybe 5-10%. Shaman have med armor med hp. Druids are alittle bit different they can buff agi which is very nice and they can HoT which mean you will be healed no matter what, but sometimes a monk can get hit many times in a row and the HoT will not be enough causing the druid to dd heal. They have a damage shield which really wont be to effective on you since you are an avoidance tank. Druids also have the least armor but most hp out of the healers.

GF plays a 27 Mystic and we can duo up to Yellow ^^'s. Take into account that she's 3 levels below me and that aint bad. Basically if you two-box a Warden/Fury get STR/STA gear, if you two-box a Mystic get Agi gear.Kinda OT - the ragging on Fury/Warden is kinda a carryover from EQ1, where so many Druids were so [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] bad at their class.

I grouped with a Warden and a Troubador yesterday - had 150 agi at level 22, it was awesome.

![]() Thank you all very much for your input. I was looking mainly towards the area of duoing with a monk friend of mine with occasionally adding a warlock or wizard friend if some extra dps is needed - Maybe a Troubador we know, if he ever find his way past 20 heh. Sounds like either Fury or Mystic is the way to go, from both the suggestions here and the desriptions of the powers you receive as you progress. Feel free to continue commenting though. Have not yet reached 10 to change classes and would like all the information I can get to make my final decision. Thanks again.:smileyhappy:
