Can Monks Solo Green ^^ after the patch! Just watch!

Note: This video was made for fun and is not meant to start a debate, although you will be tempted. Please do not debate anythign in this post just have fun SMILEY

Raw Footage:
I used Fraps (www.fraps.com) to take game footage. There is a free version, the full version costs somewhere around $20 - $30. Fraps is pretty much the lead with gaming videos.
Video Editing, adding music:
I used Windows Movie Maker. Comes free with Windows XP. You can add music, other sound and special effects. It's fun! It's not the best program out there but does the job. This video was edited during my lunch hour...so it's easy and very intuitive.

I did pick some very tough Green ^ ^.

The giants hit pretty hard and the Mystic ate me for lunch with magic. There are other Green ^ ^ which are much easier to solo such as most skele's, Gnolls and Invaders which do more melee dmg. My magic resist could be better, the Mystic debuffed me, diseased me, froze me and basically [Removed for Content] me with magic.

You can solo green grpx2s if theyre the right level, and you must keep self buffs/debuffs going.

Took me about 20minutes to take out 2 39^^ and 2 39^, a grpx2 encounter

firwood quarter staff
+6 AGI
+2 STR
+16 health

Spitpaw staff of Snarling

Both have GREAT AGI boost but con blue. I have yet to find any duel wiled with better AGI.

those have 7 agil I believe...1.3 delay, can't remember the damage. darn nice. quite a bit better than the bluestone quest weapon

Yeah you did... I just thought it was funny that someone said you were going to get monks nerfed yet in your video you never did solo a ^^ mob SMILEY

I would have to say from personal exp that green ^^ mobs that are casters or even worse harm touch can be a real pain.

What you have to remember is that there are more than 1 level of green mob. At my level (23), both level 20 and level 19 mobs con green to me. I can quite easily solo ++19 mobs, but a level 20 one will hand my [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] to me.

Its a matter of making sure you choose the lowest level green before it turns grey. The problem I often find is that the area I'll be hunting in (currently down in Stormhold) will have a mix of level 19 and 20 mobs. I'll kill the level 19 mobs solo and be left with level 20 mobs which I can't kill, eventually I'm forced to move on.

Grouping is still far better experience, but soloing green ++ mobs sure helps to while away those casual hours. I take a note of group++ mob levels as I wander, so that I can always come back in later levels to solo if need be.

Heh, I finally found the undead druid in CoB for the RoV access quest, after several weeks of searching for it. It was grey^^. I'm level 29 and I think it was 23.

I got owned. It was a caster so I used stuns and interrupts as much as I could, but was forced to feign with it less than 25% damaged.

The nerf was necessary I think. Classes that were capable of soloing green++ had an unfair advantage over those who couldn't, but it seems they went a bit too far.
