so for those of us 10 and above we will get to re-choose some things... what are you going with, more agi, more health, what direction are you going to go in? please list those that are 10 and above how your going to re-choose your options. i hear it will put the + after you change zones.

I'm going with traits that up agility/evasion/defense.  If not available at any selection then I'll get added HP.

Im wondering if my thinking is correct... i think... when i was offered a pick, the descriptions said -- adds 10% power or 10% health--  am i remembering correctly? Or if you pick power is it just a set amount like AGI bonuses were?

I know for a fact im not taking Iksar Reggen again... omg that one stinks.

I'm a Level 22 Wood Elf Monk, and as part of the tradition reslection I will have the choice between +5 Agility and +2 Avoidance.

Which do you guys think would be better?

Obviously, the next time I get a tradition I would pick the other one, as these are the most important.

Well, I am a human so my stats are decently balanced and I think im going to keep it that way. I'm going to balance my stats between str, agi, and sta. Currently unbuffed I have 108 str, 105 agi and 97 sta, I'd like to keep it balanced and get all three stats over 120 each sometime.

The agility bonus will help you with landing hits and avoiding hits...the pure avoidance would be just that, avoidance. I'm assuming that 2 avoidance helps you avoid more than the 5 agility to make the bonuses equal, depending on what you want to do...I'd take the avoidance if I were you since an extra hit here or there isn't going to really affect your tanking ability.I'm Kerran and am going for agility/avoidance and then power regen. Woot! I can't believe the patch is finally here!

The really interesting ones to see are the 'new' ones, called 'Training' which IIRC are every 10 levels, and allow you to choose to boost one ability, or something like that.

Wonder if we will get any no-brainers, like FD or Wind Walk boosters.

Ok, im a barbarian monk, so basically it can be asumed that my agi is alittle poor, so my question might be should i stick with uping my str and hp or whatever i did or can i salvage my agi through items without sacraficing my str.

OK... at level 10 you can either chose from

An Area attack
A group Taunt
A single taunt + haste
A single kick,
I took the taunt + haste as faster attacks mean more hate anyways too =D

At level 20

upgraded Karmic Focus that boosts agi too
upgrade FD
Another kick or strike or something
and something that i can't remember

Phin's Open Palm Technique is AMAZING

Karmic focus boosts my stats by a meesly 4.
Phin's boosts them by 7 and takes me agi from 95 to 109.
Adept 1 FD works often enough so I don't think the line is as clear.  *hugs his Open Palms... wait a second O.o*  Enjoy the new stuff everyone!

Neat, I didn't know they were actually changing the upgrades available.  That should make things more interresting. :smileyhappy:

I wish I would've thought of that.  I went with all agility (of course) magic/poison resistance (those were my lowest) and increased overall hp.  I took giant/golem/lizard/skelly/gnoll mastery and something that lessens damage from crushing blows; all my trainings were taunts I think (most were gray to me but last one).  Ended up like this:

Gage told me extra FD yielded an 8 /feign and failed to birds in TS (or was it antonica). Open palms is karmic focus + 15agi which roxors, and infuriating poke doesn't stack with Silent thread, but the multi taunt is >>>>>>>>>>>>>> taunting while silenced.

Chose every AGI selection, mental resist, Orc Treant and Zombie Master Rage, and got the extra FD and AE taunt abilities.

Been testing the different FD on different con mobs (using the /feign command), and so far the new FD seems to be marginally better than Feign and Play dead, but better nonetheless. Against red con npc's they still fail most of the time, but the reports that come out seem to be ideal for the new specialized ability.

Chose the other Feign Death - Wossnames Still Mind.......

Its on a different timer to your standard FD, you can pretty much drop, fail, stand, drop again.....etc.

Mastery of Skeletons too SMILEY
+ Agi

And dat one that increases hate and gives you a minor haste, the recast timer on it is stupidly low.

Chosed the FD as well and hoped it was a boost to "whatever fd i use" (play dead here atm), but i ended up having 2 FDs now...which isnt that bad, cause both are on different timers.

As a 21 monk, I've taken the +agil and the bonus single target kick attack. It fits neatly into my soloing attack routine* (letting me drop the otherwise naff shoulder charge against non caster mobs) and does somewhat better - about 10 points - damage than flying kick. Also, as a bo staff user, it uses the Kick anim with its neat little pole vault - worth it for that alone, frankly SMILEY

*for the record: each "round" starts Begin HO, Focused Strike/Power Strike to set up, Taunting Slap to activate; then

round 1: thrust kick, flying kick
round 2: rapid swings
round 3: bruising strike, Lu Su's kick

Each round's attacks last just the right amount of time for the HO stuff to refresh.

I don't know about above 23 how good it will be but I chose the party taunt with extra hate for your target, it's on the same timer as single-target taunts but will taunt a whole encounter. As a tanking monk this is GREAT.. means less worryinng about swaping around generating hate and more about killing single targets faster. The AE taunt has my vote SMILEY

Yeah bar none the AE taunt is the bomb. Can use on both grp and single encounters, and if you like to be MT in situations this is a nice little addition.

Get poke so that you can tell people you have an unfuriating poke attack.

The haste only lasts for 6 seconds?  anyway to macro it so it can be looped?  What is the recast time?

It is on the same timer as taunting slap (wish I hadn't taken it now - after I found out only a 6sec haste lol) Oh well. I got the open palm tech and that is great.
