For the final quest "The Scrivener's Tale", the quest book to help you locate him does not show on the fancy new Myrist map. (He has the quest book over his head, it just isn't showing on the minimap. Later, when you return with signatures, Ghida's quest book pops up on the minimap properly, it is just the Scrivener being unhelpful)

Source of Discontent quest the traveling tome trunk seems to be missing. I did this quest a couple of days ago on another toon and it was in Dextroxxulous next to the zone in but not today. I have bug reported it in game.

I liked the Story of the TS-sig very much. Here´s a pic of proud windraker-parents and their first hatchling in an egg.

{redhead in headlights look} I've done the TS line 8 times now, and never run into the Traveling Tome Trunk ... are you sure that's not something for an adventuring quest that you tripped over while doing the TS line?

[Feedback]Now that the TS line is down to nigglies, and we've got many folks doing the line at once, I am seeing that the chunk in Doomfire is going to be brutal on the low levels. Not only the step with the bag around all the super-aggro wasps (yes, I know there's a purchase option, but some will find that spendy), but the harvesting.

There's a LOT of materials needed that currently need to be harvested in Doomfire and only Doomfire. As soon as you have more than a couple folks harvesting in there for the quest, much less for their own uses, getting those several hundred units of mats for the beds is going to be brutally hard for low level folks. There's too much needed, and not enough nodes in non-aggro spots for the sort of lawnmowing that will be needed on the harvesting front.

Perhaps the bag spawns can be moved to the ground, in amidst the zone art bags? And for the harvesting, since I expect you won't want to change the amounts needed for one reason or another, could the Doomfire-only restriction be removed, so folks can harvest in any of the 4 zones? Otherwise, some folks may be looking at an hour or more (and several deaths), just on the harvesting for bed materials step.

The Scrivener's Tale: Seeding the Tale. I am told to follow the footsteps mentioned in the story. I see no footsteps anywhere. near the tome or in that first area. Either I'm blinder than I thought, or they are missing?

I must say, this has been a very fun questline so far. Your sense of humor with some of the replies is wonderful.

You're taking it too literally as far as the footsteps go. BigGrin You're supposed to travel to see the sights mentioned in the story.

EDIT: I was reading the wiki and now realize that it is incorrect that you look for the traveling tome trunk. I was able to complete this quest on my alt that was working on it.
It was also very late at night when I was doing this so wasn't really thinking straight. I don't know if anyone can update the wiki to remove the part about the trunk.

It was probably Sunday, October 14, or Monday, October 15.

Quest: Pollination Perfection
Objective: Craft and give the balm to the elder arborian.

Earthen balm does not show up in my recipe list.

EDIT: this recipe did not show up in just pulling up the journal, or on a portal chemistry station. However, if I go to Myrist, and use the chemistry table there, it shows up.

Since we are able to cure the librarians of their illnesses, would it be possible to perhaps be able to go back to Detroxxulous and cure the original party that was there?

Granted, I don't know how hard it wold be to code/add to game, but it seems a shame just to leave that group hanging.

We gave their dwarf maiden a rune from which she will be making the cures for her group.

I agree with Niami on the amount of nodes being increased in certain areas like the fire zone. I also want to mention the aggro range of a lot of the mobs. I am on an adv/tradeskiller toon in there and he can hold his own but I know there are pure tradeskillers out there that might have a lot more trouble than I am. Right now it is just frustrating trying to harvest a node for the quest in there and a mob that seems like it is far enough away suddenly attacks. As I am fighting him, his friends decide to come over. I live through it but not sure others will. So please look at the aggro range for mobs such as the basilisks in the fire zone. They love to invite their friends in for the fight.

The aggro range on the needlescale basilisks in Vegarlson overland is enormous. And spherical, you can aggro them while flying over at a surprising height.

I was in Doomfire on a second character last night trying to harvest the materials and there were 2 others in there at the same time, it was nigh impossible to find nodes, I finally just sat by the zone in until the other 2 were done, then it was smooth sailing.

I did this one last night and the only issue I had, was I had to scribe the recipe a second time. I could not find it on a portable chemistry table, I checked my bags and then talked to Temry again and the recipe popped into my bag, I rescribed it and was able to then make the balm on the portable chemistry table.

I was noticing last night in the Earth zone, that those basilisks would pop out of nowhere. I was killing one and all of the sudden 3 more that were not there 30 seconds prior appeared and joined the fight. And you can almost kite them, they will follow you for a tremendous distance, up hills, down hills, across water, they are like the energizer bunny, they just keep going and going.

Running a second toon through the timeline and I encountered an interesting bug while attempting to complete TST: Copper for a Tale. I thought I would save time and I summoned a stove and keg near Recipes for Adventure. I had all the ingredients but when I attempted to make the Indestructible Cookies, the combine would not start and I got the following message:
The components you selected are invalid. Trade skill process halted.

I presumed it was an issue with the summoned crafting station so I ran down to the stove in the commissary and I got the same message. I camped out and back in. The issue persisted.

Finally I reasoned that the message indicated something was wrong with my ingredients. I noted that I had a stack of 800 and a stack of 6 wandervine fruit and the recipe (which has 2 wandervine and 6 wandervine as separate ingredients) was taking 2 and 6 from the stack of 6. I messed with trying to force the recipe to choose from the stack of 800 but eventually just deleted the stack of 6 and the combine progressed and I got the cookies!

I tried to reproduce the problems with the Nilborien Illusion and the mount with the second character I ran through the TS signature. I didn't have the djinn illusion on this guy which is the only difference I can think of between this toon and the previous character who had the issue with the illusion and her mount. When I cast the Nilborien illusion, he did not change appearance but he couldn't fly either so I had to remount. I turned off hide illusions and he still looked like his handsome elven self. I messed with recasting the illusion a few times and every time I had to remount but he never took on the illusion. He finished the quest so all is good. Too bad I couldn't tell if he flew a bit dorky. He could however mount and dismount after using the illusion. Also, I am sure I could find the illusion in the maintained spells on the first character. Try as I might, I could not find an icon indicating he had the illusion.

The character was in the quest zone and summoned crafting stations if ones were needed that were not in the zone.

I just redid that quest and it still wasn't a bit frustrating but better than before.

The Scrivener's Tale: Animating the inanimate
oleane is missing a kind of tag.

The Scrivener's Tale: In preparation for Anything
I see we are now asked to harvest 25 of each twice in a row instead of having to craft and going back harvesting, that's way better !

The Scrivener's Tale: Incumbent Incubation
We're asked to harvest 50 lumber, 60 roots and 75 hides, isn't it a tad bit "too much" especially compared to previous quests?
I know we craft several beds but still, it's steep. At least now we do place several. But we don't seem to really grab a gem every time we place a nest which makes next dialog still a bit awkward

The Scrivener's Tale: Difficulties Delivering
If you happen to stand at the wrong place when getting the quest, you can get stuck in the pile of gem! I had to evac away!

The Scrivener's Tale: Source of Discontent
Think I already reported it, but the Bubonian Runecarver is not sporting a feather when you gave it the sweet smelling Roquefort.

The Scrivener's Tale: The Reach of the Ivy
Temry Loneivy has a feather above her head when entering Vegarlson and not a closed book acknowledging the finished quest

The Scrivener's Tale: Back to the Library. Shhh!
Cookie doesn't show on the map as a glowing book even if she has the book/feather combo above her head.

The Scrivener's Tale: Copper for a Tale
In the recipe for Indestructible Cookies, there's twice "wandervine fruits" in the build components, one time 2 fruits and once 6 fruits.

On the illusion part, I had the exact same experience as Katzandra. Thought Illusion didn't actuall ywork even if we could preview it, casted it 3 times in the plane, mounted and dismounted and used AA summoned stations

At this point, most level 110 crafters should have over 50% bountiful harvest. I pull about a dozen raws every harvest, so it's really not that onerous.

Quests:
The Scrivener's Tale: Of Monuments and Men
The Scrivener's Tale: Erecting the Monument

Having quest books over inanimate objects seems like excessive hand holding, Usually, stuff like this sparkles or glows.

I will admit, however, that I expected the monument to be... well, more monumental. Maybe it's because I recently visited Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse mountain, and so my expectations are grandiose.

Out of curiousity, were you in the Wind zone when you cast the illusion? Or had you gone elsewhere to craft, and tried casting it there?

I did not see a book over Cookies head until I got in the room and close to her, no problems seeing the other books for completion but its like Cookie's is hidden.

nilborien skyhunter in Eryslai, the kingdom of wind seem to have been hanging out with the basilisks that others are complaining about their agro range is anything less then 30' which is a stark contrast to anything you normally deal with that is more like less than 20 or in some cases 10'. I don't see how someone that is a squishy and doesn't know where they are is going to get to the pad to put the offering on it without getting eatting, several times each way.

Toon number 3 was doing the crafting timeline and had the same experience with the Nilborien Illusion as toon number 2 (see post # 141). There was no indication she had the illusion and all the Nilborien wanted to spar with her!

I am thinking the illusion is in the workshop!

I don't think it's related at all, but on the last 2 chars I ran through the line, I got "Fallen Gate: Beginner Quester" half way through the line (when starting with Dylindra)
