Curious if anyone can comment on their frames per second in AoM (either overland or in zone) compared to that same situation in ToV?

Thanks

I have always had much better performance in every beta I have done going back to EoF than I get on Live. Live I am lucky to be able to run High Performance overland and must go extreme performance for group or raid. Beta defaults to balanced and does fine overland and solo at least

All on Beta using the balanced settings just standing at the docks:

Tranquil Sea 24-25

Obol Plains (Dreary Landing) 30-31

Vesspyr Isles (at the Broker) 30-31

Sinking Sands 37-39

Kylong Plains 40-41

Maybe I just need to upgrade....

This expansion ***** all over low-tier computers due to many textures not having low-res variants, the new water system being forced to high quality in all zones, and flora ignoring your flora settings in new overland zones. I get 60-80 on live and 40-50 in instances compared to 6-10 in overlands on beta, with 20-25 in new instances.

I noticed a drop in fps compared to live. On live i like to use the character CPU shadows which results in a decent fps. On Beta i am forced to use the GPU shadows and i have lower fps with them even at the lowest setting. Granted they do look good and there are much more shadows than with just the CPU character shadows on live and for the amount of shadows rendered the GPU shadows are quite good performance wise but still i would like to have a choice between CPU and GPU shadows. It doesnt hurt anyone to have the option in the game. I urge the devs to let people decide themselves which settings they want, please implemtent the option again to use CPU shadows.

compare it while using the same eq2_recent.xml - otherwise it's not compareable Smile

People said it hadn't been optimized yet, and the reward for testing solo was a ground mount so I will just wait for it to go live and see if I choose to purchase it.

i got better frames on live than beta but the servers on live are dead compared to beta and 5 instances... People say they want server mergers and OMG dying population they forget how much it will impact the servers. I agree we needs more people but all those folks makes the hamster slow down.
