Quests went fine good info on them. The red shinys are not to be found. I got 3 from quest and no more even from my nice plant hehe. Good job on the quests.

Patch notes say you need Raffik, and my 'test' crafter has done his quest line. However, the quest itself uses the common gathering goblin. Does Raffik's line need to be completed to get this quest? Also, my crafters currently share one of my houses, and only one of the new plants can be placed there. Can they not be allowed to have adjoining garden plots?

I'm disappointed that the "Gardening Mercenary" does not have any tradeskill group buffs .. like say, 1% rare harvesting chance or 5% bountiful harvest or 1% durability mod.

I agree those of us who have the whole range of crafters keep them in one house with the research assistants can we please NOT make the Obulus Frontier Seedling "House-Lore"

the initial seedling is house lore .. but after you talk to the goblin some more and do more quests you get a seedling that is just no-trade.

Splinters of Luclinite that are needed for the Gathering Goblin "Home Sickness" are too close to Agro mobs this will be hard for Low level Crafters , can we have the splinters moved to a safer gathering position please?

I found them on the beach with some non-aggro slugs, no aggro mobs anywhere close (or I was just lucky not to get eaten Smile)

Please do not report bugs until you have actually confirmed they are bugs Smile I was very careful in placing them. If you do find one that's an issue, report the exact /loc.

The note about Raffik is completely and entirely unrelated to the gathering goblin in all ways.

thank you! thank you! thank you!!!

Domino you've done the best ever for us poor (and afraid eheh) crafters! the seed plant in our own home! what a GREAT IDEA!

I hope the quest will not change at all (so funny and so educational about freedom! Smile ) and I hope also we can still get rares at same frequency we can do now in beta (something like one random rare every few seconds: good for when we get some time to spend at home gathering our own rares we need for craft as a main carpenter I'd like to craft every new item in the new recipes. I'm totally falled in love with these stuff Wink )

as side note for who was disappointed the new goblin merch got no TS buff: We get an harvesting buff on the old goblin spell. At the time I have try it, it's up all the time (reuse 1 sec, duration 10 mins). I love it too! thanks again, Domino.

Love to the goblins all around! Let them free! eheh

My only disappointment with the goblin merc is that we can't have custom names on him like we could with him as a gatherer.

Are you saying that you are currently getting a random rare every few seconds from the garden?

yep. some hours ago it worked like this, when I done the timeline.

But please don't tell us this is a bug and we get only a rare per day.. please!!! at least let us garden something like 5 or 10 per day or let we choice what we mostly need (I find only 1 wood on all my tryies today and other rares like leather or root. I need woods, like every carpenter in norrath eheh).
Last time I gone to harvest in Twark i just find 2 buds up in about 1 hour and it means 2 rares total for a playday (My playtime is about 1 - 2hrs per day not more then this :| ).

That is definitely a bug then. Thanks!

How nice mastercrafted items are is directly related to how easy it is to get rares. If rare harvests can be obtained like commons, then mastercrafted items will have to have stats no better than commons. If you want mastercrafted items to be super nice, then rare harvests have to be quite rare also. (Exactly in the same way that raid gear is awesome BECAUSE it's so hard to obtain. If it were easier to obtain, it would have to be less awesome.) We always try to find a line between the two extremes, but desirability of mastercrafted gear and ease of obtaining it are always directly related - change one and the other has to change too, or the game balance would be broken. Eek

The entire timer-thing seems to be nonfunctional, Domino. Folks are also placing the pot, zoning out, zoning back in and getting the quest for water and soil, etc. without waiting for the beta timer to be up.

Two bits of feedback/bug type things:

1. The "Summon Artisan's Gathering Goblin" spell should probably poof or go dark or be deleted when we surrender our goblin to Growf. Right now it can still be activated/deactivated, though it has not effect.

2. When talking to the goblin in your house after* finishing "Home Sickness", he mentions the plant glowing (and I agree), but I see no glow and no plant:

(The goblin is in the wall because of where I placed the plant.)

EDIT: Sorry, wrong thread, should have posted this in the actual bugs thread.

It gives you a 10-minute harvest speed buff, but still has the examine text as if it is summoning a goblin.

I believe Caith is still working on this one. The spell won't be removed entirely, but it's not going to summon the goblin any more.

Was able to put two completed plants in the same house. Haven't yet seen any more of the new red shiny collection harvest able from the plant, has anyone seen them?

Timers should now be final on beta. 23 hours between all quest steps and between harvests on the final item.

It was well under an hour between when I completed "Home Sickness" and when I zoned back into the house and got "The Gardening Goblin" on Betaniami this morning.

This is a valid arguement, I'd much rather be able to make a very few really good items then a whole bunch of crud. Can you tell us where on the gear scale MC/MC experimented is supposed to end up, in relation to quest rewards and instance drops? I know in ToT whoever was in charge was adamant that refined and fully experimented not be as good as a first tier heroic drop, but I and others ended up filling in missing pieces that way anyway. There were some mitigation pieces for tanks that just wouldn't drop in the AS and we needed as much as we could get to start the heroics.
