Example ceiling caps is nonsense, players shouldn'ty have to ask what is not allowed because of some cap.A ceiling cap on any stat is a lazy mans way of coding. If you don't want players to go over some cap, then don't make items that allow it,you are only TRYING to mislead the users. There is a lot of stats that players need to wonder about or on most occasions NEVER know what they are dealing with as far as stats go.You will have players adding stats that are totally useless because they don't understand hidden stats, well they are not posted so how would they?it is just misleading content.

I would also like to see conmtent fully tested for bugs on the test server, too much content is being released unfinished or not working, actually well beyond acceptable, again this is lazy work by the dev team.Players start asking weather content is actually working becuase they are not sure if it is bugged or just not working as intended,it is always a guessing game, that leaves the PLAYERS doing the work and not the dev team.

There SHOULD be clear cut notes on Potency/mut;i attack/dps/STR/mitigation is always something players just guess at and many more need better explanations.

Takin all classes and turning combat in to a one stat idea, might have made for less thinking, but also makes for non inspired combat. There shoudl have remained more stats and  better versatility for combat, all the dev team needed to do was explain things better, this one stat structure is again a very lazy design.

Bottom line is i have asked MANY players about certain stats and they plain and simple have no idea, that displays a lack of effort by the dev team to educate the players or at least give them the simple answers.

Does SOE consider that acceptable that probably less than half the players in game don't really understand what they are playing ?There is not one player in my guild that fully understands the stats and they are long time players, not good.

Rothgar did alot of work over the years to try to make the game communicate the mechanics better.  Timetraveling put significant effort into having resource threads on these forums that clearly communicated how things work from the team (the real source).

Unfortunately, neither of them are involved with EQ2 anymore, and I can foresee little hope in this issue getting better.

There are many aspects of the game that I feel are over complicated and not communicated well.  There are many threads along these lines scattered thruout the forums.

A few players have even tried to make some consolidated posts about these things, but in all honesty, those posts age quickly as things continue to change and morph and we end up with misleading information that at one time was spot on.

I'm pretty sure that the Focus -> Cast While Moving was completely scrapped.  Also, I thought that they made a change that 600% MA was 6 extra attacks and 1000% MA was 7 extra attacks.

I'd also like to point out that the hover-over text for multi-attack is still broken.  It'll say 1 extra attack, always.

Sad to hear that Rothgar is gone, he did so much for the game. May be the current spiral down is due to all the competent fabled devs being replaced by treasured ones.

May be nobody knows anymore what are the mecanics, this may explain the large class discrepancy we currently have.

I agree that we should have an online player handbook describing precisely the rules.

Currently in the best case we have player written guides that are sometimes distinguished with a sticky flag by the mods.

Just be wary of these, they are rarely kept up to date and as a result are frequently incorrect.

That's why we stopped bothering.  You need a min-maxer who's obsessive to keep them up.
