My PC uses a NVidia GeForce 570 GTX and it normally runs EQ2 at around 34 degrees celsius, but I noticed when I loaded up beta, the beta heats my video card up by about 20 degrees taking it up to around 55 +. Is it supposed to be that demanding? And mind you the areas I was in didn't have much for people at all. I mean I wasn't lagging at all, just thought I'd comment on the difference in my video card its making.

Check your graphic settings, most likely they aren't the same as the ones you use on live. For example if you use High Performance on Live, on Beta it might default to High Quality or something like that. I think this is the most likely problem. I know my settings weren't the same when I first logged into Beta.
