Just wondering if it would be possible to change the Rebirth AA into an instant cast self rez like Immaculate Revival/Self Revivication? It appears to me that the intention of Rebirth is the same as what Self Revivication is, it's just not using the new mechanic that is now available.

I definitely agree with this. As it is Rebirth is incredibly clunky and frustrating since you have 0 control over it.

Nothing like dying during a wipe and then dying again. 100% useful !! /rolls eyes. I honestly still wouldn't spec it except on random occasions though, because unless I absolutely have to range, IE Berik, I am always DPSing, however even then I can still DPS the adds /shrug.

That's why you tinker.  Then again.. almost everyone should have tinkering imo regardless of what abilities they have.

I agree with the redo of the Rebirth mechanic. It should become a clicky self rez similar to IR. (Though IR is of course a group rez)

Rebirth all too often does turn into 2 deaths rather than 1 because I don't usually die unless it's a wipe. I can right click and cancel the effect so that I don't die a second time but the ability becomes completely useless in that case. So, as it stands, once a wipe is called, I heal the crap out of myself so that I'm one of the last to drop and the encounter is hopefully reset before the 5s timer on Rebirth procs.

Fully agree that that the way Rebirth works makes it pretty poor, especially in light of the number of AAs that have to be wasted to get it.

That 5s window is mighty small and often results in either a second death or having to click rebirth off to avoid that second death and thus wasting it. I too would much rather see it as a self-revive while dead... the points you have to burn to get to it certainly justify that, and it'd be fine even if it had a moderate clock on it: say you get 30 seconds or 1 minute from death to use it or you lose your chance, which should easily be doable with current mechanics (passive component apply a ticking buff on death like it does now, change the ability itself so that it self-rezzes so long as that buff is active).
