Locked up after entering the game

This has happened several times during the past week. I get logged in, my character comes up and then the game locks up. No movement of any kind. I have to manually shut down my PC to get out of the game. After trying 3 times yesterday i finally got into the game. Logged in OK twice today but can't now. Any ideas.
