So, I'm a Pally nearing 40. Atm I'm fully decked in Pristine Forged Armor. Seems like it will carry me through 40, but what should I be looking for from 40 to 50?

Looted and/or crafted?

If you have the coin, buy a set of Pristine Fulginate Vanguard and then quest for individual replacements as you find them.

Start harvesting. You'll need eight pieces of Ebon ore to complete your Ebon Armour set, make you a One handed weapon Ebon sword, as well as the Ebon required for the Bone Bladed Claymore.

So thats what you should be saving up for SMILEY

What about Magic weapons? How many mobs post 40 require a magic weapon to hit it, and just want contributes to a weapon being considered Magic in the first place? In the good ol' EQ there was a clear "Magic" tag on weapons, but now atleast to me it seems it's kept in the dark?

There is a nice mace that drops in RV from what I am told, Seo, you have more infor on that one? (one hander) proudfoot mace or someting?

Pristine forged ebon armor is where it's at(I don't plan to upgrade boots too quickly, 'cuz of legendary j-boots not being bad and having higher AC then ebon). Weapons aren't really a must if you have good friends because there are some excellent quested ones(such as Blood Fire and Screaming Mace).

You're only going to want to use that if you're solo. The proc on it decreases hate.

do you EVER quest or loot anything you use? or you just go to the broker and figure out a way to pay for it? SMILEY

Get Pristine Fulginate at first, then work your way to quested items/ebon.

Actually, I've quested 5 things I use.... Flowing Black Silk Sash, Amulet of the Far-runner(to be replaced by Curn Eye Necklace at 49), Legendary J-boots, Bracelet of Glowing Shards(until I get another ruby), and Screaming Mace. There are no comparable drop/quested things for the other slots except for master drop to the rare crafted ones, period(outside of weapons). Plus, I've been tanking all day with the Screaming Mace, you don't lose much hate when it procs, and it rarely procs.
