Welcome to raiding in Altar of Malice... Woah there... Before you start asking how to get into all the awesome raid content, you need to know a few things.

1. The only raid zone that will be open to the public at first during this beta testing cycle is Zavith'Loa [Raid]. Feel free to head in there and do all the testing you want. The more feedback we have on it the better! I would keep in mind that we are wanting this zone to be around the same difficulty that Accursed Sanctum was in Tears of Veeshan in gear you get from heroic content in this expansion.

2. If you plan to jump straight in there and start raiding you will be taking more damage than is intended in the zone because we fixed the resists system to work exactly like you would expect it to work. The higher you get your resists the less damage you will take. This is a full range scaling system not thresholds like you may have seen in Dreadscale's Maw.

3. Once your guild has successfully tested Zavith'Loa [Raid] you may be invited to test other raid zones. It will mostly depend on your feedback for Zavith'Loa.

4. Other raid zones might be opened as we get further into the beta cycle but it will be on a case by case basis depending on how we feel they are going bug-fixing wise.

If you feel you can devote a large amount of time to testing things and are a glutton for punishment with testing a specific mechanic over and over you can contact myself or Kander in private messages and we may be able to work out some additional testing time. We are only interested in guilds/raidforces who are easy to work with and are respectful toward the developers and their time working on getting all this content in tip top shape for release. If you are just there to see the loot you need not apply.

Heard you did some testing this evening. How did things go? Anything we should avoid until future patches as far as early mechanics to not bother testing? Considering any more tests of the raid zone this week?

The first raid zone will be opened after we patch tonight and I can verify the correct files are all in place. So, I wouldnt plan on doing testing till tomorrow at earliest.

As soon as I can verify the buffs that increase your stats (mit, resists, hp, etc) to what you need to do the zones I will open it up. I do not need to patch to open them up but we did need to patch to add the spells. Will check on it in the next couple hours and get back to you.

Even with the avatar gigantism all the players would still be taller than him!

Is there any specific feedback you'd like on content Gninja? Like, Raid setups, dps levels, kill times etc etc. Or is generic feedback what you prefer?

I am looking for things that obviously look broken or damage that is grossly overtuned/undertuned. Adds not despawning when mob is killed. That sort of thing. Comments on how long you think the zone will be used for probably not very helpful Smile

Wasn't meant like that!

Was meant that most guilds would probably take a week or two to clear it first time round. Would be impossible to judge a zones longitivity without ever seeing the loot.

So I noticed the achievement under T4 raids for Tserrina Syl'Tor, are we seeing her return as an x4 then?

Well she was never killed, she also harbors extreme hatred and, dare I say it... Malice, towards Mayong Mistmoore. I still have fond memories of Evernight Abbey (while TSO I loved the theme of that place).

So I would be interested to see how it pans out.
