soon start of xpac and it feels strange we end the signare line this way.

Druzzil is left there, Najena left and talked of shissar but done.

the dark elf we just leave here there too ... strange she never asks for anything else

so many things unfinished ... is there a future sig line coming ?

These could be fodder for GUs or the next expansion.

not enough stories happen ... and when u look at KA and PoP .. lot's of stuff stay unfinished

1 - never really had an ending with the elves. the 3 guys on the tower allow us to go around but they want to understand how we managed to come back but we never see them again

2 - Tserina silor ... just disappeared. She was there at start of KA, then ... she doesn't even fight for her goddess. We have the shaman which becomes terris thule but tserrina just disappeared (why not in arcanna se since they kind of invaded it)

3 - in PoP .. what did become of terris thule ? we never saw her again

but this time the signature line feels really unfinished. .. even though I hated the way lanys dd, at least there was an ending ... here .. yeah we fight Najena but it oesn't seem like she should be the biggest problem and she wasn't our first objective. Our objective is still to free Druzzil. But no, we fight Najena and it's over ... and then we go kill mobs we have no idea of who they are and why we kill them ...

We killed her doing the raid portion of the Epic 2.0, after killing Trakanon. As much as you can kill deities, it at least forced her to reform her energies back on her own plane.

she's not dead ... since we hear from her in PoP

she changes sides and spies Lanys for her brother.

also biggest question is .; where are the other gods ? prexus, tunare, Brell, bristtlebane, rodcet .. with all the mess we put during KA and PoP .; with the death of a god by his daugther, the ascension of other gods, like felt as if terris came back with the chaos stone (don't know why don't know what happened to her before) and so on ...

some gods we're familiar with don't even show up their faces.

mmh by reading stuff on the pantheon I learned that both Saryrn and Ullkoruuk were both lined to Erollissi.

to bad it doesn't go a bit deeper during TS timeline with erollissi also.

https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/the-pantheon.388866/

still I said almost same stuff as last year ... the sig line is too short, too little we know of the planes we're gonna visit, we know almost nothing of the enemies we're gonna fight, and to me we lack connection with the world.

I cannot say I'm the biggest loremaster of Norrath and I don't read everything but I like to have a good context, know what I do and why I am asked to do it.
I get that we need to go to the elemental planes to do stuff (didn't read yet the whole story, will do during xpac) but then why do we keep going there to kill every beeing of those planes ? Who are those creature and what did they do to us ? why do we go plunder the planes ?

you feel more connected to the world when u get it. I love RoK and TSO story lines for that because it had sense. fighting venril, u even had heroic quest to replace his phylactery before the final raid confrontation, fighting anashti, fighting the void, following the ethernauts .. it was awesome.

it makes you, player, part of the world. and tho it's still a game, and we will go kill stuff anyhow .. giving context feels better.

and right now .. the story is so slim, the context is so vague ... we're missing too much.

The prelude event showed us elementals in distress, contaminated with elements of other elemental planes, showing up maddened because of the chaos in Norrath. The sig line reveals how that happened and exposes themeddler.

As you travel in the elemental planes, though, notice where elements that should not be present appear. You get stone elementals in Awuidor, air elementals in Doomfire, fire elementals in Eryslai, etc. The planes and their beings are negatively affected by the injected chaos, and part of what we're doing is to remove chaos-touched beings.

and as we all know .. best way to clean up the mess is to kill everything

and we norrathian are of course best suited for that when gods just mind their own business.

trying to find a real cure would be so more complicated, let's kill them all and get loot !!!

then something interesting would have been also to see non native named, that you have to fight coz they shouldn't be here at all .. or even better .. corruption in the plane itself ... see how the plane of fire changes at some places, where stuff grow there that shouldn't grow.

like the bixies hive being invaded by unknown elemental beings and u may need to kill some corrupted bixies, but mostly u need to rescue the hive and destroy those elementals or other being that have nothing to do there.

if as u say the planes are corrupted, I should be able to see it and understand it. and that could make me even more interested in why the plane of air for exemple is burning. to me it feels I go into a plane, and destroy everything I see ... they may be corrupted or they just don't want trespassers and so try to destroy invaders, I couldn't even know

I'm a big fan of the story when it comes to games. One of the things I've enjoyed over the years is the way EQ2's story had progressed and certain elements would occasionally resurface to expand or complete something.

With that being said I agree that this questline has an abrupt end to it. Upon going back to Maelin we bring up the fact that the elemental gods were possibly corrupted still. Maelin and our character kinda shrug that off and then nothing. We don't bring up that Najena also mentioned a future Shissar invasion, we don't ask about Druzzil Ro's imprisonment or say anything else but thanks for the new gear.

I kinda remember the Shissar coming up during Alter of Malice's storyline but was a brief appearance. I'm glad they might be showing up eventually, but at same time I feel a bit of a void in the current lore. My hope is that we'll get more in terms of story after the expansion has settled in a couple months.

If not then my gnome illusionist might just need to come up with a way to aquire the information from Kaitheel directly. Always wanted to combine my tinker skills with my enchanter skills to create something spectacular (with only a 20% chance of exploding).
