What could possibly beat last year's Fan Faire in Las Vegas, NV?  You tell us!  The time has come to pick a new location and as always, we want your opinion.  Please vote on potential cities, dates and costs for Fan Faire 2008. You have 14 days to give us your two cents and help determine where the next great event will be held - so vote now!

What is a Fan Faire? The SOE Fan Faire is a Sony Online Entertainment-sponsored event designed to allow players the chance not only to meet one another, but also many of the more prominent SOE personalities. It's a great opportunity to meet the real people behind the online avatars and the game itself. Though attendees will have plenty of opportunity to mingle freely with one another and make new friends, they'll also have the chance to participate in a number of panel discussions and game-themed live events.

When and where are the Fan Faire events held?Fan Faire events are held in various regions throughout the U.S. and occur annually. We try to choose locations that will accommodate as many players as possible.

edit #1 - We no longer have the Orlando spot for the 26th through the 29th.  The info just came in a minute ago so the poll unfortunately wiped itself because it was edited.

edit #2 - The 26th though the 29 is back on again... Someone kill me please...  Poll wiped again.

I voted for San Diego.

Where ever it's held I have a suggestion that I hope SOE'll take to heart.  MORE VENDERS!!!  There were a pitiful few last year.

I was at Fan Faire in Vegas last year and it was a lot of fun but man, the heat was just unbearable.  It was over 100 degrees at midnight.

I San Diego you have access to the beach, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and those are just a few of the local attractions.  Just a few short minutes away you have the Mexican Border where you can .... er.... do mexican things and such.

S.D. could also really use the added revenue to help w/ the fallout from the recent fires.

I'm voting for none of the above - Cleveland is beautiful (in its own special way) that time of year!

Which hotel in vegas would it be at?  I think the Rio was a great choice last year and more appealing than the Hilton was in past years.  If you're quoting a price...you must know something!

I voted for Vegas. Meh. I like mid-west as it's a good distance from both coasts and let's face it- last year was FUN! Nice being in a city that sells itself on customer service so everything from the food to the hospitality is like nowhere else in the world. Florida is waaaaayyy too far. Hmmm.... New York would be fun too.

San Diego here.  Who really wants to go to Florida in the rainy reason?  Humidity, folks, humidity.  Florida in the summer feels like being smothered by a hot and steamy wet towel.

June in orlando? If you have never been to Orlando in June, it is something you will never forget. I have twice spend a week in orlando in June and both times it was 100+ every day with Max humidity. Vegas in August was bad enough, but at least there was something to do in the area and every place had AC. Definitely not voting for Orlando in June.

Lets see Orlando in June... 120deg in the shade and 100% Humidity, and Raining at the heat of the day, heck when I was last thier in May(I think) it was 90Deg and 100% Humidity at 5am(took a red eye), or San Diego in June 75deg and a Cool breeze, unless the Santa Anna's are up.

I choose San Diego... though Las Vegas in Sept is not too bad, I have places I can say for free in San Diego. SMILEY

Voted San Diego.. haven't been there yet, and I've been to Vegas twice already. Once you've seen all there is to see, going back and again and again is kind of eh.I do agree with Traga tho, it would be sweet if Noreasters got one in their vicinity sometime... but I guess that's just not in the making for 2008.

If the date was different, I would have voted San Diego, but that date range I'm already going somewhere else.  So I voted Vegas, though I hope it's NOT at the Rio, as I want to stay AT the hotel where it's at, but not pay EXORBITANT prices for a room again.  That's what was so great about Atlanta a couple of years ago, as it was a GREAT hotel, but decent prices too.
