A couple more changes headed your way with tomorrow's Beta update:

It's Not Easy Being Gangrene - Gathering fetid bones is now a group update.
It's Not Easy Being Gangrene - Fetid bones are now easier to see.

I'm having the exact same issue and I'm also doing "The Scrivener's Tale: Source of Discontent" which is also not giving me any update when I try to talk to the adventurers (it's acting the same way as "Pathosis Less Traveled"). Both quests will not update for me. I've also noticed that for some reason name tags are not showing for me in that zone, even though I constantly run with them on. I double checked my options and went back into the library, and names are showing there. I tried camping to myself as well and deleting the cache and logincache-us. Seems like that whole zone is bugged for me.

I fixed it! It had something to do with display settings (for me).
I dropped my settings to extreme performance and now I can see the chat options.
I came into Detroxxulous on a character who recently went through there and it was bugged for her as well. Then, I remembered that I had been tinkering with my display settings, so dropped them back down.

Interesting. Good catch!

I changed mine from a modified Very High Performance (what I use for raiding on Live) to anything else that's default and now I see the chat bubbles and can continue the quest. Weird. Something in my personal settings was causing a problem.

Thanks! Still pretty weird and only that zone for me. If I had time I'd try to figure out what the setting was (I could go back to my config and issue would show back up.) But it's an easy workaround at least.

I'm guessing the catalogue quests go in the respective zones.

Quest: Origins of Pestilence
Quest giver: catalogue book found in library
Current journal entry: Catalogue a clot water leech

The mob won't get catalogued. There are some "clot water leech" at the entry area of the zone and none give the quest update. Have searched (hopefully thoroughly) with track open and there doesn't seem to be any other leeches. Am I missing a mob in the zone or are the leeches at the start not working properly for the update?

Thank you for the catalogue books! I'm up to six books found!

It's not updating because spelling matters on quests...
Will be fixed next update. Thanks! (You may need to delete and restart the quest tomorrow to be able to complete it.)

Good to know on the delete/redo. I've since found the eight books and this is the only one that didn't update.

Related question : should the catalogue quests give any status? I got items and am happy with those. Just throwing the question out there.

This quest shows up as Heroic in the quest journal. I think it s/b Solo, since this is a solo overland zone.
