Honestly, it has been months, MONTHS, and nothing has been done to fix these stupid and annoying BG bugs. What is the "PvP" developer doing? Or does SOE even have a Battleground/PvP focused dev anymore? What has changed? Nothing. What still remains? Let's see:

-putting level 90s in level 30 bgs

-completely unbalanced teams (1v6, 1v10 ratios)

-bugging people into "white" teams that don't do anything and get no tokens

-kicking people out of BGs for no apparent reason, and then giving them trauncy

-matchmaker failure that puts everyone into frozen tundra

-mobs/towers in frozen tundra that are STILL unkillable in lower tiers that are t4, etc

-mobs in frozen tundra DONT have aggro ranges, and can chase someone for the entire game

until someone else hits them. (This is more of a problem in t4, where the mobs can root and kill even

well geared toons quickly).

What saddens me is how BGs used to be so popular prior to the whole "DoV Frozen Tundra" installment. What we had before was much better than what we have now. Why? Because it actually made you PvP, not PvE in the stupid "Frozen Tundra PvP Warfield 2.0" version map.

This list goes on and on, and this is only on the failures of the matchmaker. If we started to include the failure of BG armor, underated stats on bg armor, or ARMOR THAT STILL IS NOT AVAILABLE (what, 5 months + after armor was released?) it really makes you ashamed of how things are being run.

This is stupid. I want to see something, anything at all that indicates that there still is life in SOE. We haven't gotten a response from anyone, and these problems have been addressed in numerous threads on the front page as well. Does SOE fix something only if they see 10-12 threads on the same subject? What's going on?

I heard also that players not on Nagafen can't que for battlegrounds unless they are actually in the battlegrounds hub. This would explain for a lot of the inactivity.

Olithin informed us about the new faction for all bgs a couple of months back.  Otherwise, there's been no dev comments about any of the bugs you've listed or anyone else has talked about for about half a year.

And, no, there is no pvp/bg dev and hasn't been since at least pre-GU61.

BG's used to be really fun, queues constantly popped, people knew each other, people had grudges, it was a blast....

I feel like SOE took my game away....

Thanks for all the wonderful attentiveness dev's..... makes me sick

I think SOE is fixing BG right after they fix eq2players web site.

Personally, I feel these are some major issues that are not being addressed.  There are new MMOs coming out with the Holidays.  I'll probably be unsubbing from SOE to look at those come December.

I am currently encouraging other disgruntled players to do the same.

I would really like them to just fix this. I love this game and would rather not leave it.

But fixing the eq2players site first.... PATHETIC!

Fix the game, quit worrying abou the website, people need to have a reason to play before they have a reason to get on the site (which is useless now and will probably continue to be useless in the future, fixes or not....).

Totally agree... my game is gone. Maybe we are ust a smidgen of the paying people. I don't know. Just roll it back. As for tundra.. rol back any changes with Bgs from that patch... I don't care about grouping with people from other servers. BGs are simply dead. Was more than just killing off opponents.. it was a whole social system. People knew people, people had rivals, mmorpg is what this is? Please bring it back and just undo all that you did.  We just want it back the way it was. Does that hold enough weight for a first post?

BGs died in large part because the equipment is useless in PvE.  They will probably never get back to where they were no matter how much attention they get, because SOE is quite committed to not make BG equipment useful in a significant way to PvE.

I couldn't care less as to whether or not the numbers would never get back to where they peaked.  I'd rather people played them because they enjoyed it and wanted to play them over doing them begrudgingly because they believed it was the only way to get decent gear, and consequently having to listen to all the whining again about how nagafen all have better gear than we can get or blah blah x is cheating because he killed me.  Not to mention all the people who would just try to avoid fighting because they only wanted the tokens.

All anyone wants, right now, is for the gamebreaking bugs that have plagued BGs since GU60 came out, to be fixed.  Its incredibly tedious to queue for 20+ minutes when you know that there are more than enough queueing to get a game straight away, only to get stuck in the middle of Tundra on no team and left having to quit out and take a 5 minute truancy because its the fastest way to have even a chance of getting into a BG.

QFE..

If SOE would fix these rather simple bugs, BG's would go straight back to their past activity. They are inactive because of the frustration of simply trying to get into one game in the first place and hope that you can actually play the game or because of the in-BG bugs you have to leave and hold truancy. These issues could be resolved with one full day dedicated to looking at what is causing the trouble and fixing it.

BG's were a very popular part of this game, it confuses me greatly as to why SOE is not taking the necessary steps to fix this. It's truly like they've completely forgotten this feature of the game.
