After patching LoN from outside of EQ2 today I started receiving this error message, and it will crash EQ2 if I try to open the client more than once in a session.  ( also posted in the LoN forums, but thought I would post here since this place is more active. )

Error message when launching it outside of the game:

Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. [OK]

End Activation Context Generation. ------------------------------

I've uninstalled/reinstalled/repaired my VC 2008 installation several times but the error still persists.

I can however launch LoN from within EQ2 fine at the moment.

Launching LoN a second time after closing it crashes EQ2 without any error messages.

Anyone experience this and know how I can correct it?

Thanks!
