![]() I go to http://www.everquest2.com/expansions to see about pre-ordering the CoE expansion CE Edition and when I click on the "Whats included"? link, all I see is this:- This is what is listed on the main "Purchase CoE screen for the CE:-
My question is; What is the CoE Tracking Feature and why isn't it shown on the main purchase CoE screen?

![]() Nothing to see here, move along. What you are seeing is a feature that gets added to award certain bonuses. The way the feature system works though is that they are always displayed on that webpage. I don't recall exactly what that feature grants you off the top of my head it might be the pre-order or the CE flag for example. |

![]() Zoltaroth, Any chance you know the answer to the questions regarding CE posted in the expansions forum? http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=522999 Thanks! |

Zoltaroth, apologies but I have to ask for further clarification and possibly suggest you check with someone who may know what it does. The line about a "tracking feature" only appears when clicking on the "What's Included"button for the Collector's Edition. It looks like it's referring to something extra that CE buyers get because it's not appearing when clicking the button for the Standard Edition. If as you say there is nothing extra for the CE then I have to agree with so many that SOE are short changing players this year, compared to say EQ with it's long list of goodies. |

![]() To clarify what Zoltaroth is saying... The "tracking feature" simply means we have tracked that you purchased a Collector's Edition and will be granted the Collector's Edition items (Hero's Blessing of Experience, 2x Portal Globe of Swift Travel, 2x Health Potion, 2x Power Potion, Firiona Vie Memorial Tapestry, and the Krivix Honorclaw mercenary [choice of Paladin or Templar]). Since those items are not included in the Standard Edition, that bullet point does not show up on the Standard Edition link. ~Dexella

Clarifying my clarification... The "tracking feature" is not a feature. It is not an item. It is nothing new or different than what is described here: http://www.everquest2.com/expansions It simply means you're flagged as buying the "Collector's Edition" (which has more stuff) and not the "Standard Edition." Does that help? ~Dexella

![]() It means they know where you live, what you were wearing when you made your purchase, and the name of that last web site you were at right before you went to their site to make their transaction. They are not judging you for going to that site but you have been tracked and will be reported to Santa for potential addition to the naughty list. If you line your house with tin foil it disables their tracking technology though.

Good attempt but I'm still wondering why bother to show it at all. When we buy either Standard or Collectors we know we should be flagged for one or the other. Why does the Standard edition not have a line saying Standard Edition Tracking Feature? Why make it read as if there's something we're actually getting? Other than the throw away potions, another tapestry and a possibly useful mercenary for $20 extra rising to $50 after launch. |
