![]() 1. love search field - works awesome so far, with a little kink that it always leaves showing the very first item in merchant window even though it totally doens't match the search query 2. on the buy part - checking "show only items my class can use" hides all the fuels, might be intended but as a crafter I'd like an option to show fuels, that button seems to behave quite wildly, at first it left me only with a torch, after more tries it also showed me kindling ( I'm a carpenter) 3. On sell part - Double click t... - that's all that shows, there is room to spell out the full Double click to sell, please make it so Double click to sell - this button does not save my choice to double click to sell, it would be awesome if it did, for consistency sake 4. Please add " Double click to buy back" on the buy back part of window 5. Search filter saves the text in it after closing window - not sure if that's a good idea, either add some sort of reset button to erase it fast or have the window not save it, we probably will be searching for different things more often than for the same ones |

Thanks for the feedback! Wiping out those checkboxes after closing the window was indeed intended. While it would be cool to save it, I certainly wouldn't want to run into the issue where Double Click To Sell is active when you don't actually have a merchant in front of you. It still wouldn't let you sell anything, because you wouldn't be in a merchant transaction, but that would be really wonky for trying to equip gear and the like. As for the search filter not clearing, that was my bad. I completely forgot to wipe the string out when the window closes. I'll get that change in soon and take a peak at the UI display for the other one. |

![]() Great features to add! Especially for getting the fuel you want or one-off purchased quest items, that's always been a pain scrolling down long lists. Anyway I gave it a fairly thorough going-over for you... 1. Nice to see the search is case insensitive. There's a right mix of capitalisation on item names out there. And that you can give it fragments of words in the opposite order to how they occur. E.g. I'd more naturally type something like "coal sp" to get sparkling coal. 2. When you click any of the Hide Unusable, Hide Grey or My Class filter boxes it clears the selection from the sub-panel (item icon, name and "buy" button). This doesn't feel intuitive, after all you still have a row highlighted in the window. Something is always selected in the merchant window. 3. If you have something grey highlighted and then click "hide grey" it doesn't hide that selected item. You could have it reset the selection to the top of the list of remaining non-grey items, so it can hide that one as well. In fact seems this applies to all three of the filters in the same way. 4. The My Class filter is hiding anything which is not gear/equipable. Try it on a housing merchant and all the housing items and food/drink items are removed leaving only the torch (because it's a charm). I'm not convinced this matches the tooltip description of showing "only items my class can use". It's technically acting as "only items my class can equip". I probably sound picky, but the intended use of the filter is surely to exclude only things people can't use - leaving everything still of potential interest to them. I just think "where's OR not equippable item type" would given results which are more what people expect. But hey if you disagree, just change the tooltip text to reflect what it actually does atm. 5. Comparing to the broker window, you've now got inconsistent behaviour. In the broker window when first opened nothing is selected (highlighted) in the search results by default. Whereas in the merchant window it's default to selecting the first item. However since the broker window already doesn't have a default selection, might that not be a simpler solution for the merchant window to fix points 2 and 3 above? Simply clear the selection highlight each time a filter is turned on/off? 6. Using any of the filters checkboxes puts the focus into the search text box (you see the cursor flashing). This in turn is breaking the ctrl-mouseover and ctrl-click behaviour on the icons of the items. Seems like this functionality for previewing appearance doesn't exist when the focus is off the main results list area. This is confusing. Because what you naturally do at a housing, pet or mount merchant is:1) use a filter2) eyeball the results3) try to preview one of them that sounds interesting... but it doesn't work. 7. Could I make a request to please extend the number of items kept in the history you can buy back from? When selling a load of junk after an adventuring session, it's often a whole bag's worth or more. It's quite easy to sell so many you can't buy back one of the earlier items. I've had this happen to me a few times. Despite all the items being sold in one session (usually within 30 seconds flat), if you accidentally sold a master spell near the start you're stuffed (and that's putting it politely). Your then raising a petition to get it back again. Also if you sell a stack of stackable items one at a time, in the buy back window they appear as single items. Maybe this is because it's keeping an exact history of what you sold, but it exaggerates the problem with pushing things off the buy back list. 8. I don't have the problem Chikkin is reporting with the "double click to sell" text being cut short. Just a guess but is the length of item names forcing a minimum width on the window for me? Because I can't shrink the window width enough to get this bug. 9. Double click to sell doesn't work for me! Not at all. I assume it means double click the items in the list, right? 10. A suggestion: if you could come up with shorter labels for the filter checkboxes, you could lengthen the text field for the search text. This would give more room for typing in search terms which would be no bad thing. The box is a bit small atm. Or use the space better maybe? For me the whole line of filters isn't centered, and there's dead space after the "My Class" text. 11. Nice to see "My Class" works for both adventuring and tradeskill. 12. I'm confused as to what would count as Unusable, that isn't covered by "not my class" already. I can only think of things which are level based. IF this is the only other reason for unusable, maybe it should just say "My Level" on the filter for clarity. But if there's another type of unusable please enlighten me, so I can test it. 13. If I take my low level alt to the tailor merchant in the Halas crafting area, both Hide Unusable and My Class are hiding armor pieces she can't wear which although she meets the level requirement are the wrong adventuring class for her. So it's doing the same thing. However on the same merchant, the My Class option hides the tailor recipes but now Hide Unusable doesn't hide these. They are listed as red, she's not a tailor, and can't use them. Add this in with point 12 above and it's just not clear what results I'm going to get from the Hide Unusable filter. And I'm seriously reluctant to use a filter if I don't understand what it's hiding from me for fear of missing something! Just saying that's my gut reaction as a player - I think it needs to be consistent and clear what you're getting or the value of having that particular filter is lost. Edit: Oh dear, please don't hate me for writing all that!

![]() Not a problem at all! I love the feedback, just don't get mad when I don't put it all in a quote 2 and 3) It's a bit wonky at the moment, I know. I'll take another look when I can! 4) This is actually not intended to work the way it is. It's basically for finding pieces of gear that you might not have a high enough level to equip yet and so forth. I have a fix coming in for it soon. 5) I can look into that once time allows, but it's somewhat the same as 2-3, as you mentioned. 6) I didn't have this issue at all. With my filtered results, I was still able to ctrl click on things to preview them. 9) This one might need to be communicated better. What it actually does it allow you to sell items from your bags by double clicking on them while the merchant window is up. It's basically for people who have organized bags that just want to sell a particular section of stuff. Now you just double click it all to sell it. 12) Unusable is pretty much anything which cons red to you for one reason or another. |

![]() Something I noticed, when you open the window (fuel merchant for example) and hover over an items icon for the tooltip examine, it shows the tooltip examine, it disappears, then shows again. Once you highlight/select an item, it seems to stop. |

![]() Hey guys! I have a few fixes and changes going in based on some of the feedback we've received. I've got my fingers crossed for them to make it into the next update, so check the patch notes and feel free to get back to me if there's still any functionality that seems wonky to you when that happens. |

![]() I've always wondered why dragging and dropping an item out of my bags onto the merchant Sell pane wouldn't sell the item. Seems pretty intuitive to me, similar to the way you load items into the broker to sell, equip gear, drop shinies onto the journal, etc. Would it be possible to sell to the merchant this way? |

![]() Could you tell me what files were updated to make this work? I'm using a pre-GU57 custom UI (old blue windows, no SC icon on merchant and such) and I think I'm missing some files as I didn't really saw anything new. Not that I searched mind you, I wasn't expecting a patch with something new and didn't check the patch notes. Problem that could be related: I was trying to sell a bunch of fuel from all tiers on the tailor NPC upstairs from the South Qeynos bank and broker. I sorted by price, as I often do, and the fuels started jumping around in my window randomly, switching order while I was clicking and I ended up having to buy back several items that I didn't want to sell but clicked on without intending it. Sorting by name fixed the problem and it's the only time it did it. |

![]() Thanks. Yes, that's what I thought but one never knows. I have the old version of the window which doesn't break the game but doesn't allow me to see what's new. I'll try to fix the code, or disable it to check, or check on hubby computer. |

![]() I just noticed this today because I'm leveling tinkerer. Used to be able to purchase by double clicking the item in the merchant window but that no longer works. Can this functionality be restored? |

![]() I used to be able to buy and sell in the 3 tabs of the Merchant Window itself by double clicking the item. Now I'm forced to select them item then hit buy/sell/buyback. This has NOTHING to do with double click for selling from bags, as such, the checkbox for double clicking to sell from bag does not affect double clicking to buy/sell from Merchant Window. Please restore this functionality. Thanks! |

![]() I have to agree with Sigue on the double click functionality. I'd rather have the option at least to revert it back to double clicking in the merchant window to sell. Having to skim through all my bags to sell this or that is kind of annoying. The merchant window is so much easier as it's sorted and you see the name of the item. Not to mention it's much easier to see what items you have marked no sale. The rest of the changes are certainly cool though. Search is always handy. |

![]() Still can't double click to Buy/Sell in the merchant window as we've been used to for years. Please change/add this back in. Thanks. |

![]() Any possibility to add a filter for slots in the merchant and/or recipe window? When you are trying to adorn things it would be really handy to i.e. only see all shoulder adornments in the crafting/merchant windows instead of having to browse through them all. It's driving me nuts each time I want to upgrade a new piece of gear with new adornments to not be able to see what I should upgrade with easily... |

I'm working on it. The new merchant window changes rely on hiding certain elements of our table system so I essentially have to re-write the way the table system works to get this functionality back and have it be future proof. Please bear with me. |

![]() Another option would be to add a checkbox next to the search window to let you search for text in the item descriptions as well (instead of just the actual item name). That would work to filter out slots and similiar too |
