Once they added the 'thoughts' it became doable, for me. Seems like a lot of effort put into something for nothing, though. I didn't find any progression in the story, and as a paladin it doesn't make sense to 'skulk' around. I didn't want to do it twice though.

I enjoyed it on my adventurers, and crafters... I am kinda torn on this, as yes I think there was a good amount of Dev time put into this and I agree it had its problems, but overall it was a nice out of the box way of transitioning to the new lands, instead of clicking an object and POOF we're there.

I hope to see much more of this type of development in the future.

This is really disappointing...I love the boat. I thought the ride added a nice bit of depth to the TS story. Isn't there some way to allow players the choice to take it? Please???

Sigh.
They seem ore viewpoints then we see. So I assume the masses wanted it and I admit it kinda blew my mind to run both sides of the initial part of the questline to discover that the other travelers that escaped already was actually ME but I liked have my mind blown and the boat was fun.

There will be a separate quest that takes you onto the boat, although that's on the adventuring side.

Great for the adventurers, not so much for the crafters that enjoyed this aspect of the quest line. While the story remains very good without the boat, the ride really adds to the fun and makes running it for many, many alts much less tedious. Would love to see the option to take the boat added in...this was the most fun in a crafting story I've had.

But the crafter quest line (Into the spire) stuck at after releasing the Queen. Quest wouldn't advance at "speak to Alwenielle" when I am already being teleported to the beach.

Some good news for this one, Domino has this fixed and it should be in the next beta update.

I think this is probably for the best. The quests are supposed to tell us a story, it makes no sense to be on the same boat and escape the same exact way as you did the other time you adventured to the new zone.

If your toon is just a crafter, though, it is a really cool storyline...you are following the trail of the group of adventurers that were just there, trying to find them. You were on the boat because the Queen sent you to the same place she had sent the adventurers; once you escaped as well, you kept looking for them in the Obulus Frontier. It dovetailed nicely with the adventure line.

(Actually, it could still work as an adventurer/crafter combo...just needed to add the line "Oh no, not again!" when you woke up on the ship for the second go-around. :^D )

My personal opinion is that this should be an optional zone for tradeskillers. They could have the choice to "click and skip" or do the content. That way those who HATE it.. can skip and those who LOVE it can do it. Can't make all the people happy all the time, but this is one instance where both haters and lovers could be satisfied =D

I would think adventurers would be fed up with the boat not crafters, for the same reason as Shmogre above me pointed out.
As an army of crafters with rather neglected gear, I really enjoyed this part of the questline, skulking around a boat in my underware trying to get what meager stuff I had from that smuggy Captain was fun, kicking lookouts off crow's nest was a highlight, zipline was an absolute hoot! getting The Frillik Tide achievement the first time doing it, felt like a true achievement lol
I'M ON A BOAT! didn't want to leave me the whole time through

Chrol, since Domino said you are the one responsible for the boat content, I bow to you and ask for more of this kind of fun zones/quests. Thank you!

From today's update notes: "Celsyn Baileth has two new quests. These quests are only available to those who have not completed the repeatable quest "You Can Still Kill Count on Me.""

(Darn it, if I'd known, I wouldn't have already done the repeatable. Sad ogre.)

The first time thru the boat was fun but a bit frustrating - not much of a problem the second time but still fun. Especially the zip line! I'd love to see it be optional so the whiners don't have to repeat it.

I am very glad it was taken out. It has no purpose for tradeskilling and if someone really wants to do it, there is the adventure side.
