Meh, to me the fae just look like dark elfs with wings attached and creepy looking eyes. Loving the new zones though, giant mushrooms and a volcanically active area that is likely steamfront.

I love them! Customizable wings, too! SMILEY I don't think they look like Dark Elves. I like the eyes - more weird than the Erudites'. I love the grayish skin tone with a purple hue, too! ^.^ And, of couse, the hair is the best in-game IMHO.

I already have two names saved for Fae. I'm going to duel box a Fae Monk and Coercer and attempt to be the first with a level 70 Fae world wide.

Yes. I'm hoping they fix it - if they can make Frogloks have one footsep for their hop, I'm assuming they can make no sound for the Fae.

OMG!!!  They look SOOO much better than they do in the initial screenshots.  I now have to have a Fae.  I MUST have a Fae Swashie.  Imagine one of those Fae with dual rapiers on his/her hip and wearing the Swashie [Removed for Content] hat. :smileyvery-happy:  ROFLMAO!!  I can't wait!!

On another note...

Those rock monsters...were those the kobolds?  I don't know about anyone else but THAT'S what my conjurors earth (tank) pet should look like.  That thing rocks!  LOL...I made a pun. :smileytongue:

Now that this is out there, I know there's not much point in me removing the link or trying to cover anything up. I just wanted to jump in here and point out that this is Alpha footage. The animations aren't done on the Fae or some of the creatures you see, and we have not reached the Beta stage for Echoes of Faydwer at all yet. This footage was actually taken as a rough cut for a video, and I'm not sure how it got out there.Enjoy the unintentional rough sneak peak of some of EoF, but be kind about its Alpha state. SMILEY

I would just like to say, if the graphics get better in beta from alpha, you have your hands on a winner, graphic-wise.  I can only hope the end-game(raid) content is as good as the graphics are, because if so, that'd be awesome.

Must agree, especially if this is Alpha footage, you have a great base to work with.

very much looking forward to upcoming releases. :smileyhappy:

I thought it was funny that in one of the fights, they knock the head off of one of those rock monsters, it staggers a bit, picks up its head and puts it back on and resumes fighting.

It looks like it's going to be a great expansion, and that video is certainly nothing for SoE to be ashamed of or even give a caveat about it being alpha (who knows, it could have been leaked by an enterprising developer there).

The video looks good.  I still am not real crazy about all of the huge colorful mushrooms all over the place.  I *might* could deal with it if there was a halfway believable lore reason for them to suddenly appear, but probably not.  Lesser Faydark just won't feel quite as dark or intimidating with those.  (that is, unless Equestrielle is still corrupt and running around along with some high level brownies, but still...)

That was an impressive video, but what I'd like to know is the stats of the new race.  Where I can find this information?

Congrats to SOE for yet another hit expansion pack. As always I'm thrilled to be an adventurer in this game and can't wait till this expansion is out. Speaking of Alpha stage.. thats one heck of an achievement if thats just alpha video. Artwork, movement, animation, scenery, armor.. the list goes on and on as I replay this video over and over at how wondeful everything looks. Great job Devs and SOE, keep up the great work.

Thanks for the info.  Its good to see that the Devs don't try to squash the information when it gets out.  Alpha or not, it looks good.

Wow, Just wow. The graphics look updated and the Fae look waaaay cooler than the official screenies. Was the Crushbone I just saw?!? Is that really just alpha?!? This expansion will go down as one of the best ever! Not to mention the excitement is overwhelming! Only four months, eleven days :smileyvery-happy:

Wow, you have come along way.  You realize that the fae are in the same style as the alternate (soga) models?   They have the same hairstyles as the current alternate models as well as the same graphical design in their facial features.I think they look pretty neat.  I liked the giant hairy dog beast also.  SMILEY
