Can't connect to a login server

I can't connect to the Beta server. I get the "Could not connect to a login server. The servers may be busy; please try again in a few minutes." error.

No issues connecting to live servers. Anyone else seen this or have an idea how to fix it? I already tried wiping the Beta install and redownloading from scratch but the issue persists.

This looks to have been caused by a weird DNS issue on my end. Putting the IP instead of the hostname in the eq2_default file allowed me to connect.
