Predator Achievement Post! ---- UNFINISHED!!!Note: This thread is a work in progress.Achievement Facts1. The starter achievement for your achievement tree costs 1 point and cannot be upgraded any further2. Depth 1-4 achievements cost 1 point per rank and can be upgraded to rank 8; upgrading to rank 4 allows access to a deeper achievement on that depth sequence†3. Depth 5 achievements cost 8 points and cannot be upgraded any further† 2006-01-23 Upgrading past rank 1 does not increase the benefit of an achievement; this is due to an acknowledged bug with the achievement system. Further, upgrading past rank 4 cannot be done at this time.Predator Achievement Tree0. Starter0.1 Bounty -- 1000% chance to receive a bounty for the next humanoid kill if it has not already been pickpocketed. 58 power, 2s cast, 0.5 recover, 4m recast, 4m duration* There is no buff icon appearing in the effects or maintained windows for this buff.* There does not appear to be any effect from using this spell; I tested this on mobs that I was able to pickpocket with a beta-buffed Rogue.* The 1000% chance is obviously wrong unless it is instead referring to the amount of money received and not the chance to steal (it appears to be a typo in the effect description).1. Depth: Strength, "The Path of the Blademaster"1.1 Blademaster's Training -- increases STR of caster by 5.0* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our self-buff.1.2 Bladed Opening -- inflicts 52-78 melee damage on target if under 80% health, inflicts 164-246 on target if at 80% or greater. 82 power, 0.5s cast, 0.5s recover, 45s recast* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* Another melee-range frontal attack.* Damage calculated at 241 strength, so these numbers are purposefully lowballed.1.3 Toughness of the Blade -- increases mitigation of caster vs. slashing/crushing by 264, vs. piercing by 317. 109 power, 1s cast, 0.5s recover, 15m recast, 3m duration* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our defensive stance or self-buff.* The recast makes this too long to be tactically effective if you are accidentally drawing aggro multiple times during a group or raid session.* This could allow a Predator to stand up to a named mob a little better if the Predator is tanking or planning to pull aggro, assuming the spawn time for the named is around 15 minutes.1.4 Conditioning of the Blade -- increases attack speed of caster by 36%. 82 power, 1s cast, 0.5s recover, 5m recast, 3m duration* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our offensive stance or self-buff.1.5 Way of the Blade -- increases slashing, crushing, piercing, and ranged of caster by 63. 82 mana, 1s cast, 0.5s recover, 15m recast, 3m duration* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* The flavor description says "melee attacks are much more likely to land" but notice that the ranged skill is included in the effect description.* Notice that crushing is included even though Scouts do not have a crushing skill.2. Depth: Agility, "The Path of the Archer"2.1 Archer's Reflexes -- increases AGI of caster by 5.0* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our self-buff.2.2 Point Blank Shot --2.3 Fitness --2.4 Ranged Expertise -- increases melee crit chance of caster by 17.6. 82 power, 0.5s cast, 0.5s recover, 10m recast, 3m duration* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* The flavor description clearly says "Increases your chance to critically hit with a ranged weapon" while the effect says "Increases Melee Crit Chance" instead. Is there only a distinction between spell and melee, and ranged vs. melee-range crit chance is only affected by a single factor?* If this is indeed supposed to be applicable to melee-range attacks such as melee CAs and melee auto-attack please indicate one way or another when using words such as "melee".2.5 Distracting Shots -- ranged attack has a 16-24% chance to interrupt target and stifle target for 16.8s. 82 power, 0.5s cast, 0.5s recover, 10m recast, 3m duration* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* I'm not sure how useful this is since it cannot be used on real Epic mobs, it sounds useful for taking out Heroic named and Epic tagged mobs that are not true triple-deltas.* This achievement seems underwhelming for a depth 5 ranking, we'll see if a Beta raid can show how useful the interrupt can be.3. Depth: Stamina, "The Path of the Hunter"3.1 Hunter's Resolve -- increases STA of caster by 5.0* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our self-buff.3.2 Perfect Jab --3.3 Conditioning --3.4 Hunter's Precision --3.5 Impenetrable Spear --4. Depth: Wisdom, "The Path of the Prowler"4.1 Prowess -- increases WIS of caster by 5.0* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our self-buff.4.2 Placating Strike --4.3 Prowler's Cunning --4.4 Prowler's Obfuscation --4.5 Prowler's Escape -- move down 1 threat position of all mobs in AE, teleport caster to random location, drop into stealth. 109 power, 1s cast, 0.5s recover, 10m recast* This should be uninterruptible and useable on the move like a combat art, not a spell.* The description doesn't indicate the range of the AE effect.* Having this effect work out of encounter is a good idea.* Having this affect mobs that are not currently engaged is not a good idea, currently it causes mobs within AE to be immediately engaged as you pop onto their hate list.* The teleport doesn't seem to do anything useful, perhaps the range is too short.* This achievement could be the FD-like stealth effect that I've asked for all along but it would need to completely wipe the caster off of the hate list of all mobs within AE to be effective in this role.* Currently this power is really good at getting adds within AE when I'm trying to shake aggro that I already have; that is not useful -- in a well-controlled environment like a raid it may be much more useful.5. Depth: Intelligence, "The Path of Venom"5.1 Nighshade's Insight -- increases INT of caster by 5.0* This is an effect that could be innate and always-on, alternately it could have its effect added to our self-buff.5.2 Jugular Attack --5.3 Deflecting Daggers -- caster will parry 8.8% of all incoming attacks. 0 power, instant cast, instant recovery, 0s recast, 10s duration, requires 2 dual-wield weapons equipped* This achievement requires that two daggers be equipped, not two dual-wield weapons. If you try to use it with any old two dual wield weapons you get a message, "You must have two daggers equipped to use this ability". This requirement should be better documented in the flavor and effect descriptions.* Given the cast, recovery, recast, and duration -- this effect can be active at all times if I maintain it by pressing a button before the icon disappears. Is this intended? Why not just make this a toggle effect that drops whenever your cease to have two daggers equipped? At this point, we simply toggle it back on. Similarly, this effect could instead be added to our defensive stance.5.4 Toxic Expertise --5.5 Intoxication --

Hope this help you guys
