![]() Would be nice to have something on the east coast for those of us who cannot afford to go that far. Bally's is the better of the two. |

![]() I was just browsing flights and costs... if there's any way to get this locked in and official before the end of the year I can save a bundle! Edit: That's on either date. I'd still much prefer Bally's over the Hilton, but just going is awesome. |

![]() I can't believe that peeps are voting for the Bally's when the Hilton is $50 cheaper over the weekend. |

![]() Where's my none option? I demand a none option. In reality I don't dislike Fan Faire as a concept..., but too much relies on Fan Faire each year to gain community input. As well as the factor that allowing developers to fraternize with players simply makes the communication too personal and subject to possible corruption. |

I agree.. the location and hotel are not the best. do remember the extra cost of transportation to places other than the hotel from the hilton, no matter if you drive, rent, taxi or monorail and the heat if you choose to walk.. by far Bally's is much better, I got lucky at this past FanFaire and got in the tower right next to the convention center and everyone was friendly and I had a blast. My room was clean and well maintained, only complaint I had was the view of the roof and not the strip, but I still had a wonderful time and think that the extra cost to be closer to everything is the way to go. 2f5ad268-03ba-4c83-8d2b-f2c0319d62d3 1.03.01

Well, if the GF and I have to buy 3-day monorail passes (2x$28) to get to and from the Hilton when not doing fan faire stuff (since Quark's gone, there's nothing to keep me there), then by cost alone, Bally's is still better. Cost aside, the GF and I spent almost the entire time during this past fan faire at Bally's, Paris, and the Miracle Mile. It's stuff we like. Bally's just makes sense for us. |

SOE Denver is here already, there are tons of great hotels from Denver proper to DIA. Mensa holds it's conventions in Denver July 4th weekend is a bit tough as it will be a week before NBA summer league for my step son, so I'd have to fly back the following week so he could attend that. As an ex-Vegan, Hilton is a total dive, and far as I know: it still does not offer in room Wifi, there is indeed Wifi at Bally's it is a separate service so you have to do a network scan to find it. I believe a great solution to that would be eliminate the 'platinum lounge' that no one used really in 2010 and turn that space into an area that those who brought their own laptops/rigs could set up and play instead of adding to the congestion of the 'gaming area'. I'm not knocking the gaming area from 2010, I believe it was a good effort; felt bad for those without platinum passes as they seemed to never get a shot at the machines. |

![]() I vote for the Hilton. Bally's is great and all, but it's a pain to get to, if you're driving over busy summer weekends. All the shows and traffic suck for transportation. Plus, August is a better time for us Go Hilton, Go Fight Win! |

![]() Hilton is far from everything ... Bally's in middle of everything .... either one as dates work but but being near strip did Rio and Hilton before ... much better time at Bally's.... I know its been said before but will say again lots of citys have great convention systems, where i live wont work but still many citys do .... think about changing it up .... just to add some spice .... i loved Atlanta and New Orleans... like vegas but a change would be good BuddieRowe |

![]() Voted Bally's but I gotta say, I still had the best time at the 2007 FF at the Rio. The roof-top and outdoors parties were still the best of any FF's I've been to. The Hilton one was my least fav location. |

![]() I like the August dates better, plus I won like hundreds of dollars in the casino at the Hilton last time we were there. Also the Hilton is much larger and we could have a bigger Faire! But I voted for Bally's cause the Hilton was such a dump... apparently their policy is "Bring Your Own Toilet Paper" in the convention area. Bally's has a great location, the rooms are nicer, and the pool party was a blast! Thanks for posting this survey with the dates so early! |

![]() Bally's is on the strip but their rooms haven't been updated in 20 years and their lobby actually had plaster falling down in it last year. Hilton is a block from Circus Circus and everything else you need is easily reachable via the monorail. If it's at the Hilton, I'll actually stay there. If it's at Bally's I'll be grabbing a room at the Luxor or the Bellagio instead. I've been to two at the Hilton and one at Bally's, didn't like Bally's at all. |

![]() Being that I live here I'd have to say that Bally's would be better. Hilton would require that many visitors who want to see the sights would have to save more money for transportation alone. Not much is in short walking distance from this place. This isn't the case with Bally's. Besides I personally think Hilton went for the suck when they got rid of the Star Trek Experience... Quark's bar was awesome... now it's not there anymore. =( |

It's probably easier on the people hosting the fanfaire though. Seeing as tourism and conventions are our business here in Vegas. And it would probably be the same for us the other way around if it were where you felt it should be at. |

![]() I also think Bally's is the best location. Last Fan Faire I had a great time at Bally's and went to the Star Trek Convention over at the Hiltion and was annoyed by the amount of walking I had to do to get from the Monorail station to the convention center. Also as others have stated Bally's is central strip and my last day I took advantage of that fact and expolored some of the nearby hotels and casinos. |

![]() Please choose the East coast... we are feeling so left out... Somewhere like Louisville, KY would be a great lcoation, or somewhere in Ohio... its on east coast but still somewhat central lcoation for those players in southern states liek Florida or TX... |
