![]() Darda and myself and our guidies all say thank you for the little gnome that showed up yesterday evening in Withered Lands. The trolls were very happy to go out and about on your errand! Darda especially says thank you! =) She would reply herself but apparently some nefarious character masquerading as her has infilitrated her ranks and done dastardly deeds with her platinum and her characters and until the powers that be sort it out, she cannot log in =(. |

![]() It's always great to hear from players on this forum. It's our place where we pass on little bits of information and gossip. It's even better when you tell us the things you would like to see happen Sorry to hear you are having problems though. My stubby little Halfling fingers are crossed for you that you will return safely to Norrath soon. |

![]() Sometimes it gets very noisy around the Hold of Prexus! Conversations get really loud - so much so that we need to get out of the walls surrounding us and head into the city. Such is the case for Thornrose! Now she really is a lovely person but sometimes .... well I'll leave it to you to listen to her! /sigh She told us she was heading off to Freeport to have herself heard by a more appreciative audience. Maybe, just maybe, she will listen to some of you adventurers! Good luck iwth that and if you want to find her I'd check on May 8th around 6pm (PDT). Disclaimer: Please note quests may be altered due to unforeseen circumstances and wherever possible we will let you know in advance. |

![]() The salt air whips across the docks in the Thundering Steppes, the ocean crashing against the shore. The giant grabs scuttle across the golden sands, seeking to snare the fish thrown on the beach before the sea washes them back out into the bay. An empty basket clutched to her chest, a lone Halfling looks nervously out across the sands towards the Dead River Basin. A chill, not from the wind, causes her to shiver. "No way by Brell's Furry Feet am I going out there," she mutters. "Still, those berries won't gather themselves..." Then she smiles as an idea comes to her. With a smile she shouts at the top of her lungs: "Noble adventurerers of Norrath, I need your help!"

![]() A muffled explosion shattered the quiet of the Babbleshire. "Thank goodness you're here!" Tawli Whiskwind called out to me as I passed. "He's been working on that confounded device of his all night! And he was supposed to finish my AutoSweep 10000!" "No worries, Tawli. I'll get him back on track!" I shouted as I hurried my step. No need to knock on the door. I'd met Ebik a long time ago, stranded on a beach looking for lost parts of some contraption of his. It had been one of the first adventures I'd ever been on, and we had kept in touch over the years. A good gnome, but he gets too distracted, he wouldn't hear me if I had Nagafen gently tapping the door with his tail... "Ebik?" I called out, straining to see in the dimly lit room. "Gryger? Is that you? Brell's beard! How long has it been?" Ebik Wobblecog wheezed, fanning the smoke away from his face. "Too long, you crazy gnome. Too long!" I smiled, giving him a quick hug and looking around for some glasses. "I thought I'd catch up and brought some Fayberry Fizzlepop. I know it's your favorite!" "So, what's new, old friend?" I asked, pouring out a generous dose for him. "Tawli's in a taking, by the way. Says you were supposed to be working on some invention for her?" "Bah! It won't take me but half a day to get that fixed. I'm working on something far more interesting. A device that can let us see what is happening in other areas of Norrath! Just before you came, I'm sure I saw something in Frostfang Sea, gods it was beautiful..." I quickly grabbed my journal and started scribbling. Maybe Ebik was on to something...

![]() The waves lapped against the docks of Qeynos Harbor, a salt-laden breeze rushed across the bay. I was just finishing up some breakfast at The Mermaid's Lure before heading out for a quick jaunt through Antonica. The eggs and bacon were amazing as usual. I tossed a gold piece to Borden Mannus, the bartender, and walked out into the early morning. It was then I spotted him... Halden. "This could get interesting" I thought to myself, and set to following him. Now I'm not Halden's best friend or anything, but he's always had a kind word (and a full stein!) for me whenever we meet. As I got closer, I heard him muttering to himself about how these "young uns" didn't know a good ale when they tasted one and how he was bound and determined to "educate the pups" ... "Antonica can wait" I said to myself "I want to see how this turns out..."

![]() Caves have never been my favorite place to be (I don't mind dungeons, but caves make me miss the sky too much) so I try to avoid the New Combine Foothold as much as possible. But today, I heard rumors that the most high and exalted tinkerer of them all, Gnearlin, has lost some notes and is need of help! So I dusted off my traveling cloak and headed out to the Withered Lands to see if the rumor was indeed fact. Sure enough, there's poor Gnearlin, looking all forlorn and need of help! I confess, I know little of this region, I tend to be a bit nostalgic and wander through the older areas of Norrath, but perhaps some of you brave adventurers can help!

![]() It's an ill wind that blows through the Loping Plains, a chill breeze that stirs through the gates of Somborn Village, causing Xerxae to shiver and rub her arms furiously, her wings fluttering uneasily. "Oh I hope someone comes to help me!" She whispers fervently, looking out into the grey mist that hangs over the Plains. The witchdoctor told her this was the only hope to cure her Aunt, this old recipe for a potion that consisted of various grisly ingredients to be harvested from the beasts that lurked outside of the village. It wasn't just the ingredients, but the strange circumstances in which they must be harvested. She could journey with a party of adventurers but could not be banded together with them; the could slay the beasts on her behalf, but the ingredients could be harvested by no hand but her own. Because she could not claim the mystical power that bound a group together and protected them, the witchdoctor had given her a talisman that he said would protect her; she rather doubted it. It looked older than the witchdoctor, and he looked older than even the fabled treant known only as "The Forest Keeper" from the long-lost Isle of Refuge. She tapped it with a finger. The dull metal glowed faintly. It would have to be enough. Taking a deep breath, she calmed her heart, fluttering even faster than her wings, and waited for brave adventurers to aid her in this desperate quest.

![]() Krunche Stormshield, squinting to avoid the harsh afternoon sunlight, muttered to herself. "Surely, there must be those strong enough to make this journey..." To her back, the great gate to Kael Drakkel stood, a mute invitation to only the strongest of Norrath. She and others of her Clan had journeyed across the Eastern Wastes to this place. Raising her voice, she issued the challenge loudly, her voice calling out across the Eastern Wastes. "Are they any within reach of my voice willing to journey into the depths of Kael Drakkel?" I must take a moment to "break character" and point out some additional information. Kael Drakkel is locked so that only the highest level adventurers can enter within. Getting this quest does NOT change that fact. Also, this quest can only be repeated once per character. If you have completed it before, it cannot be offered to you again.

![]() Vixs waited near the entrance to Darklight Wood, the arasai calmly watching the guards patrolling the streets of Neriak. One day, after he completed his research, he would proudly walk down those streets, and the guards would salute him instead of his having to clear a path. Someday... But the gods help those who help themselves, so unless he took steps, that special someday would never happen. Cupping his hands around his mouth he shouted "I am in need of adventurers to help me with a special research project! Can you come to my aid?"

I am sorry you were left disappointed today. It isn't often that things don't happen in Norrath as predicted and you are totally correct about this time being one of those major RL difficulties. Please check here whenever you can because I'm sure the members of the Stormshield clan have more than one who likes to issue this challenge. In fact I'd suggest visiting the Eastern Wastes sometime in the next hour! Koldein Stormshield just poked his head in and said about heading over to make the challenge at 18.45 (PDT) instead - He was running when I saw him leave. |

![]() Even the hottest Norrathian Summer can't melt the ice in Frostfang Sea. Stumbling through Halas, I drew my cloak tighter to keep out the frigid wind. That's when I spied her. You can always tell the strangers in Halas... "Won't someone please help me? It's so cold and I could really use" ... the wind gusted right then, and her last words went unheard. I drew closer, maybe I could lend a hand... Or maybe you could?

![]() Now I’ve always been interested in the fashions of Norrath. I wonder if you might be as well? If you are then I’m letting you in on a bit of a secret. There is this rather knowledgeable person who travels Norrath imparting her fashion sense and I know she is heading toward the Frostfang Sea and should arrive around Noon on Thursday the 28th. Now for some silly reason she uses a time called PDT so perhaps I’ll see you there if I don’t get waylaid. Disclaimer: Please note the times are posted in PST/PDT (Pacific Standard Time/ Pacific Daylight Time) as appropriate. All quests may be altered due to unforeseen circumstances and wherever possible we will let you know in advance. These listings do not include those random times our guides are in Norrath so keep an eye open all the time for someone who may want to chat with you. |

![]() Gnomes and their inventions!! Yes he’s back and pestering once more for some help in the Withered Lands. The last I saw of him he was tapping away at his gnomish time predicting device saying “It has to be 5.30 in the afternoon of the 6th day – that’s when I’ll find enough people to track down the schematics. Of course – the usual disclaimer of things that can happen at the last minute so keep your fingers crossed that all is as scheduled!

![]() Soft blew the wind through Greater Faydark, rustling the leaves in the trees, causing the dapples sunlight to shift in crazy patterns across the lush forest grasses. Settling back with some of Halden's private reserve, I took a long draw from the ancient Stein of Moggok; once it had served me as a powerful talisman in my adventuring days, but since donning the Green, I had long since forsaken treasure and fame... Truly, a wonderfully peaceful day. Cast out! Left to die alone, my spirit denied the succor of the hereafter! Avenge me! I sat up quickly, trying to locate the source of this outburst. It came from somewhere near Kelethin! As I said, since donning the Green, fame and fortune no longer hold the fascination they once did; perhaps you might be interested?

![]() So..... do you love a good cup of tea? I hear there are some pretty clever gnomes out and about and I'd suggest you head to the Frostfang Sea around noon on the second day to find a little bit about how to prepare the finest brew - tea I mean - not that other kind of brew Fine print: Please remember things are correct at time of posting and that all times are PDT. ALSO - it is that gnomish time for all things tinkered so do keep an eye out for events and activities that have not been mentioned here. |

![]() Coffee? Tea??? I do wish these people would make up their minds – personally I think it’s a great plot to discourage the drinking of Halfling Wine. Anyway … The great-granddaughter of Sir Edwin Lark, is a half-elf with a keen business eye as she travels to and fro looking for the best deals and new items to use in her latest business ventures. You can imagine the pressure this young woman is under and what better than to aid her pressured life than to find her something containing Caffeine!!!! The last I heard was that she was heading to the Frostfang Sea so I’d take a look around Halas if I were you and see if you can’t help her out with a good brew!! Perhaps midday (August 9th) would be a good time as she would be pretty exhausted from her mornings trading I’d imagine!!! Also those gnomes and their Tinkerfest celebrations are still in full swing. Seems as though someone couldn’t get them to pack up on their merry making, so do keep your eyes open for some last minute activities. Finally!!! MEET and GREET!!!!! It’s our turn here on Permafrost so join us for some dancing, fireworks, chatting, and for some summer festivities! Don't forget to come dressed up in your favorite summer outfit! August 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT at The Community Lounge – Look for the portal near the docks in the Sinking Sands. PS Of course – the usual disclaimer of things that can happen at the last minute so keep your fingers crossed that all is as scheduled and remember all our times are PDT (San Diego Time) !

![]() Not a quiet place can be found anywhere with all the gnomes roaming through every location. I am even hearing rumors of a gnome in the Withered Lands searching for some lost research notes. Perhaps if someone finds his precious papers, he will leave the area. He is quite persistent, mildly annoying, and a bit too full of himself. I hear he will be arriving there sometime on the 9th day at Noon.

![]() Well it seems as though celebrations know no end in Steamfont! While chatting to my Gnomish friends I discovered a good friend to Mad Hattie is Gnaylah Bookworthy. Now Mad Hattie tells me that Gnaylah is really excited about her research and is going to tell her all about it! If you want to hear about it yourself and perhaps learn a few things – come to Steamfont Mountains on the tenth day – make sure your Gnomish timing device is set to 17:30 PDT!!! Fine Print - All quests are correct at time of notification but watch out for that dreaded RL bug that is going around. As always - all times are Pacific Time. |
