Okay I have feedback this 2 times and still nothing was done. Can the scarescrows please be able to size up bigger for they are still pretty small at its largest setting. At least be the size they are as mobs.

Also can we get date when this will hit live servers?

I've been able to take my now buffed up fury through the maze twice and defeat the final mob. I am healing myself though. It isn't as if I can just stand there and melee him. I don't think my wizzie would survive, don't know about the others. I had not finished the gnome quest the second time, so did not get the chest, so I have one more round. I did complete the collection quest and was a bit disappointed. A wall of skulls is not my decorating choice, but I can make it work for nights decor. I did manage to get the raven plushie. I did not know that was a rare find, but it's cool. I actually thought it was a bird until duh.... the lightbulb went on when I placed it. I do hope it's going to be doable by all levels and types when it hits the servers. It is way cool to have over 50K hp and health. Can we work that into the game? My biggest issue is that I cannot find my way through without help. I've tried following the map I printed, I've tried the all right turn thing, the map online doesn't seem to be working for me. That's my biggest frustration.

Disco'd 2 more drops yesterday that were cool as hell though lol.

Nice work

P.S.   some of the loot drops include but are not limited to :

Soulspitter sp?

we've seen a couple nice hats with "imperceptable" beauty, but fabled stats

2 or 3 nice fabled belts

Do you have any links?

The trick to doing the Hollow Hedge quest, with any class, is to self-mentor down at least 20 levels. You might want to level down even more levels if you don't have a lot of patience for long, drawn-out fights.

I have taken the weeniest of my toons through now with no problems using the write up on

http://eq2.zam.wiki/eq2_zone:The_Hollow_Hedge

There is still too much fog for some of my toons. I think it is because they are larger toons such as Sarnaks. I didn't mind the fog with my dark elves.

I still have a few gripes with the quest.

I hate not getting a raven plushie. This is a darn hard quest, even self-mentored, and everyone should get a raven plushie and maybe even the scarecrow one also.

I haven't had one toon find a whole set of the collectables even going through two times.

We only get one hedge as a reward. Two hedges would make more sense so we could use them as dividers in our gardens. Or, if you don't want to give out more than one hedge add a recipie for the hedge to the NotD recipies.

I found the same problem with the wall of skulls we got for the collection. I need two walls to divide off part of my house. We need someway to get more of them for our houses.

There is one small glitch in the Hollow Hedge quest. The second time I try to go through the hedge I have to relog as the door isn't there to click on to enter the hedge.

Other than these few gripes I am finally enjoying the event. Thanks so much for making it more fun for us. You are doing a great job SMILEY

Unfortunately, we are past the time where we can make changes to the rewards. I feel the rewards for the quest are pretty nice as they are. The Plushies are meant to be an extra "Oh cool!" type reward that show up sometimes not as a primary reward that should be given out every time you go through. I will consider upping the amount of hedges per run for next year or possibly adding a recipe much like I did with the Vampire Mirror but the first year they are meant to be somewhat hard to get. I will also look at making the collection available in more than just the Hedgemaze as well. Spreading it out should make it easier to get but for the time being I suggest asking your friends if you need a specific one and proposing a trade as they are all the same rarity.

I really hope all or nearly all at least enjoy the event. SMILEY It is because of all you guys' feedback that it should be a success!

All very good ideas, if people want their own hedge maze then get some alts going =P.  Did you ever remove the no trade lore tags from some of the items in the maze?

And is the X2 a swanable mob, so like 5 or 6 guilds can kill him at one time, and i can get some awsome screen shots of the carange.

That specific change might not have made it to the test server quite yet. I will double check.

Can it be made so that we can pick which illusion the goblin puts on us? I get tired of cycling through it until it makes me a vampire :/ Though I guess that defeats the purpose in general.

If you just want to be a vampire .. either do the Bloodlines for the vamp Illusion item or ask your local provisioner to brew you up a 'Vampiric Toothache' ...

The Bloodlines charm item will change you into one of the Bloodline Vampires and the Provo item will change you into one of the EoF Vampires, though the Illusion changes every time you zone.

There's also a LoN item that does the same thing but .. *shrug* ..

I've been through the hedge several more times since my last post and have found some more problems. I don't know if you can make changes to these problems but I hope you can.

The radius to pickup items/loot are way too small. It is really hard to target them with the larger races.

A Trained Entity tends to hide and if I didn't know it was there I would move on and then wonder why things weren't working as intended. I had to go back and forth pulling him out of the adjacent building for most of my trips through the maze. This is going to drive the Live players nuts.

Since we can't get the raven as a reward, very often, could you give us a recipie to make them? Or, make them tradeable since many players don't have houses so don't need the ravens?

Can you cut back the number of helms being given as loot? I have a bank full of helms which I will eventually destroy. Meanwhile I can't find boots anywhere. Suits of armor don't make it as sets if you can't get all the pieces.

Some of the mobs are running off into the hedge when they are attacked. This obviously makes it hard to kill them and it is possible loot could be dropped and hidden by the hedge. I had a near miss with a treasure chest today.

The gnome items are so small that I can't see them even when I know where they are. This is really unfair to players with poor eyesight and isn't necessary as it doesn't enhance the event in any way.

I am seriously surprised that the boss mob doesn't drop any useful loot after such a long, drawn-out quest. My first thought, when I kill the boss, is:  Thank heavens the fight is over. This is followed by: Good grief, where is the loot?

I don't need the armor as I haven't found one set in 18 times through the maze. I had one axe and a raven plushie drop that I can use. I finally found out how to do the Train to Zone quest and got a scarecrow plushie. That is the sum total of two days effort which really is pretty pathetic.

The tapestry is nice but it doesn't seem like an adequate reward for such a complex quest. The spell books and recipie books are useless as my toons have to self-mentor back to lvl 20 to keep the quest from taking all day. The hedge seeds might be useful if we can make more hedges.

There is a chest if you do the haunted houses and Train to Zone before entering the maze for a second try. I have yet to get it but I thik the majority of the loot in the chest is aimed at the NofD raid event and not to reward the individual player.

I hope I don't sound too picky. I am just trying to figure out why a player would do the maze over and over when the rewards are so iffy compared to other world events. We can't even vendor the armor we don't need .

I hope, for next year, you will add a black sexy outfit for those of us females who don't like to cover our bodies with plate armor. A black version of the skimpy female outfit would be hot and give us a change from pastels. (Btw, if you work on the Erollisi Day event how about a pure red version?). Oh, and if they had matching boots and gloves that would be fabulous.

Ok that's it for now. Hopefully I won't find any more problems or things that need tweaking.

The Raven plushie is tradeable .. I was picking up 'Mum's last night several times checking out the scaling limits on it.   I have yet to get lucky to loot it =(

For me it's Gussets .. I think I have about 10 gussets across my accounts and nearly 4 of everything else but I have yet to loot a pair of Pants!!!   These things need to be Tradeable and marked as Treasure so I can smoosh the useless duplicates!!!

Brief summon of NotD09 bugs still on Test - hopefully their fixes make it in the next patch:

Haunted House: The tilted picture stays tilted after >correcting< it. Second or third year - this bug has staying power here on Test.

Haunted Mansion: the Lore & Legend: Ghost is still not given to the group like the other 5 in the mansion are. Its the book in the staircase, on the table below the painting that is the doorway to the attic. Vampire Lore & Legend still doesn't even give an indication that you picked it up and went in your inventory. It also is not group.

Hollow Hedge: The second animated hedge doesn't stay put but runs through 3 hedges to ambush players. Teach it some disciplin, please. The gnome again gives his quest only once, after that, no matter how often you zone and rerun the hedge he only gives the quest dialog, but not the quest. This problem came up after the last patch.

- Not sure if I fixed the ghost LnL issue with the last round of fixes but if not I will try to get it hotfixed before it goes live. The Vampire LnL should be giving to all players after this next round of fixes make the test server. It also gives a message to the entire group when it does it.

- The second animated hedge is just a normal mob standing put somewhere in the hedgemaze it is possible if you have high lag that the hedge golem thinks you are near it when you are not. I lowered its agro range pretty much to the point where you have to be on top of it to agro it. Hopefully this fixes the issue but again this is part of the latest fixes we have checked in and I don't know when those will make it to test server. The gnome give sout his quest once every 18 hours. I haven't found a way to make him not give the same dialog but I am still looking at it.

Great change, Gninja - I never tried to go back another day.  Maybe he could hint something in that direction?

Thanks for the prompt answer.

Is the Night of the Dead event going live with GU53 or at a later date??

Thanks in advance.

I would love to see the nightmareish armor actually made tradeable, so that I can trade the pieces I have an overabundance of for pieces I am missing with my friends.

Good grief! I just did the Train to Zone quest with one of my sarnaks and it was gosh awful. It is bad enough that I can't see the items that need to be collected because they are tiny but to add to my misery my dumb toon blocked my being able to even scan the ground for the items. I tried 3rd person and 1st person views but she was always in the way. It was especially bad around trees.

This seriously needs to be fixed before the event goes live. It is totally unfair to larger races.

It is also terribly unfair to people with poor eyesight. There are times when I wonder if SoE has ever heard of the Americans With Disabilities Act.

So i like the maze its fun but any reason why i should bother killing the last named? I mean lock picks that open a chest that has the same 2 items in it?  Whats the point, i understand the quest but i mean why a stagnit loot table?  Make everything tradeable just casuse u have the heirlom tag doesnt mean u should use it over tradeable tag.

And why cant i skip the lat movie of the trasnformation? Seen it once no reason at all to see it again.

/feedback it in game on test server as well as posting here and maybe they will tweak it.  They could perhaps add a sparkle effect around each item like they have with other quests.

A sparkle effect on the items once you have the train to zone quest would be awesome.  It is hard to see them even when you're small.

I assume not, since in the past Nights of the Dead ran from about October 22nd to November 3rd. So we're way too early. But if a dev could confirm, I'm sure many of us would appreciate it.

Hey folks! The Nights of the Dead Events will be turned off tomorrow (Thursday the 24th) Just wanted to give you a little bit of a heads up so you know tonight is the last night for you to get in some last minute testing. SMILEY We will make sure the events get turned back on at the same time the events are active on live.

Thank you all so much for all the great feedback and bug reports. The event would not be nearly as cool without it!
