Kite Shield Data - Page 6

Reaper is there a secret to getting the Sphinx to drop that sheild? I've been trying every 3 days since i got access to that instance, and any group i've been in hasn't got 1 metal chest to date. I asked the rest of my guild and noone has seen any metal chests from that instance. The Coin one and Blades one have had metal chests drop but nothing from the Ttruth instance... We answered the riddles right a few times but not always. We always seem to get crap loots. =(

Anyone else know the secret to that [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] sphinx? TIA

So has anyone else found the Aegis of Altairenank in awhile? Im starting to think its been removed from the game. I farmed the truth instance for the first couple of months, and got mine, but no one else on the server has been able to get it.

Gah, I have been dieing to get the Aegis of True Defense and the Aegis of Altairnanehk for months...but I guess SoE hates me and they just won't drop. T_T

Aegis dropped once, and I got it.Never have seen the Truth shield, and I have been farming that instance for months.

I got the Aegis of True Defense the other night in PP. I was excited until I realized it is going to be nothing more than a situational shield that is slightly better than my crimson rock targe. Still trying to get the other from the truth instance along with the pants that drop there.

Regarding the Aegis from the sphinx.I now have "Court of Truth: Sphinx Hunt" in my journal.I am not understanding this. Is this an instance to trap it? I thought you went out to SS and it spawned there.How do you farm this? Can you repeat the quest over and over?Do you have to delete the quest before some step in order to repeat if you can't just get it again normally?

whats the point in making a topic about ktie shields? does it effect the paladin in a good way compared to other shields?

Wow, major necro post here. To answer though, Paladins didn't used to be able to use Tower Sheilds, thusly kite were the best sheilds we could equip.

I think they started allowing it from T7 up... To my knowledge, the previous 6 tiers still can't use them. (Though to be fair, I haven't bothered to go look at grey stuff, so I may be misinformed. SMILEY ) I carry one that dropped off the boss in Lyceum, usually. As a general rule (there are exceptions) the tower shields provide better shielding than the kite ones, so it was a welcome addition.

There are tower shield T5 that paladins can use.

There is the Bent Shield of the Harbinger from OOLS that my second paladin, PVP, uses.

The tower shields that are crafted are paladin useable.

I don't understand why they allow crusaders to use towers now, but still have kites with lower stats. Other than making crafted kite shields completely useless now, what other purpose is served by not having the stats be the same between crafted kites and towers? If they made them with better stats a lot of people might use kites for roleplay purposes, or even if block was lower, perhaps a boost to INT or AGI could compensate, but it would have to be a really nice boost.
