This thread is now 2 month old and still we did not get an answer. Even with the cristmas holidays that was plenty of time to at least announce what you want to do about it and to announce an contingency plan (like allowing the DD for non US citizens) id that fails.

The expansion is now only 1 month away and you still don't have any retailer across the ocean. Even from an logistic point of view you will probably not even be able to deliver the boxes to the rest of the world in time without paying horrendous shipping costs.

There is just one German reseller that will import the boxes and they cost more then $ 65. The worst thing is, that this is still cheaper then buying the box from amazon.com and paying the premium delivery. And I'm only talking about the normal box, not the collectors edition.

How do you explain, that there seemed to be no thought about international customers before you announced the preorder and that SOE was not able to give an answer within 2 months, with anything else then that you disregard your international customers? I think there there is no other explanation left.

This will be the last straw that leads me to cancel my 5 year subscription. If we don't get the same retail deal / early access as the US then i will most assuredly feel that SOE dont give a fig about their Euro customers. I have bought the retail box EVERY single expansion until now. Can ANY one at soe please give us a RATIONAL logical explanation why a european retail distribution deal is not in place for an expansion that has been planned for 18 months + ? There is now barely a month until the initial release date......so come on SOE - WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH EUROPE ? At the rate people are packing up on the Runnyeye server then SOE might just as well merge us with Splitpaw at this rate.

Not to mention that if other employees of SOE are making your customer-facing position more difficult and awkward then you are totally within your rights to report their actions to your manager. If decisions are being made "behind the scenes" then it's your responsibility to root them out, discover the reasons behind them and TELL US, then to relay our feelings on the matter to your superiors.

Already told my guild i will pack up eq2 unless SoE stop s c r e w i n g  non USA customers.

I know you can argue the 7 day early entry and other retail box bits dont really matter - But it does to me.

I feel it is symtomatic of SoE's attitude towards non USA customers - in which case i no longer feel the urge to continue giving them my money - despite the fact i will miss my guild and toons quite a bit.

But at least it will give me the impetus to get out in the fresh air and sun a bit more

Actually her job is to tell us what the management wants her to tell us and since two month that has been: Nothing!

They don't want to tell us anything as they are not even telling us what they are trying to do and what the legal problems are they brought onto themselves with the Amazon / Gamestop deal. It is very likely that will hear nothing else for the next weeks.

EQ2 is now only a US-only game. If you live somewhere else you should plobably look for an other game. Don't fool yourself by thinking that anybody beside the com reps even thinks about the non us based, soon to be ex-customers any more. The Com reps must just wait a bit longer before they are allowed to present the truth to us so that hopefully there might be some more accounts that will have to payed for an additional month before they can quit.

Actually, you can't, because it does matter ! I'm playing on PvP and guess what level my beloved oponents will be when i can join in 7 days later ? Right, 90. And they will beat the crap out of me because i have no way of defending myself against a lvl 90, even if they only have journeyman spells. If I could join at release, I'd at least have a fighting chance.

I definately won't buy from amazon.com (shipping costs) and TBH I'm not willing to pay 45€ for the DD if I can get the box version for the same price and even support my local dealer. IF I could join on release day via DD I'd prolly be willing to pay the full 45€ but no way am I gonna pay full price for DD and loose 7 days.

I've been a pretty loyal customer of SOE since EQ1 beta in '98, and while I've had the occasional disagreement over things like the marketplace and that silly card game, I have still tended to be a pretty stout defender of them on the boards because the bottom line is that their games are pretty good.

That said, this one hasn't really got over the loss of Scott Hartsman in my view, he was a great asset, and this latest debacle is really the last straw. A friend and I are both giving it to the end of the week to see if there's a proper response from Brenlo or someone else in authority (no disrespect Kiara, your hands are tied I'm sure), failing which we'll cancel. Simple as that.

I am thinking of running a book and so far odds are that SOE will not comment " Officially" about the release to non - US customers as there is nothing they can say to appease the situation. They will simply stick their head's in the sand and forget about this whole big mess.

Speaking for myself :     Avirodar - Date Created Mar 9, 2005.Avirodar was my 2nd character as well, I levelled a fury to 29 first. It taken me a few months before I bothered signing up to the forums. At one point I was paying for 4 accounts. I was running 3 accounts up till recently, now I am down to 1. Numerous others have posted about culling their accounts.  SOE is losing money, and subscriptions.I have had people in the USA offer to buy the expansion for me. I have declined out of principal. The principal is, if SOE chooses to discriminate against not only my country, but most of the world, SOE can go to the same place I referenced the snowball as being, in another thread.
