Gotta love the way the game is heading. They have artist who can make great looking armor, but they dont have the time to make t9 pieces not copy/paste from t1 crap. There are weapons named "Flame anealed" etc.. that look like gray crap fromt he start of the game... and then when you bring it up they want you to do the job for them and tell them which pieces need addressed. I say do your job, dont expect us to do it for you. I dont know why I even bother, or for that matter why they bother to make a thread for feedback.

A quest line would have been spectacular.  Even were it relegated only to dark elves -- the notion that other racial armor sets with their own quests lines might become available would surely have made players extremely happy - and excited to have something to look forward to!

This!

In theory this would be nice but don't you people remember the debacle they made out of the 'Class only' Helms?

Even *if* they had gotten their butts in gear and cranked out 1/3rd of the Racial Armor in time for let's say the Velious Xpac and listed it as one of their Main sells for that Xpac.  Making it so that -only- those Races would be able to wear -that- armor graphic and even made seperate questlines or specific areas of where they'd drop.  They'd have to tell all the other Races to sit on their thumbs for at least another 2 Xpacs down the road to be able to get the remaining Race Armor & subsquent questlines put in place and finished.

By which time they'd give it SC or LoN and make it 'Raceless' Armor, anyway.

So, at least this way they've burst all the disappointed dreams early instead of waiting 2 years to find out that your class/race isn't as unique as you thought.

Could someone start doing stuff like this for the regular game, you know the one we already pay for?

Seriously?  You guys start the major coolness of making racial armor sets...and you stick them on the WIEHWEIFH Marketplace?

Please consider doing things like for the people who have already been paying you every month for the past 5 years.  The current state of the game is crap...nearly everything "cool" is on LoN or SmedBucksPlace...core mechanics, graphics and gameplay features are being changed 5 years into the game.  Were they really broken?  No.  Rethink where you place your limited man hours please.  Take the "cool stuff" people from Market Place and put them back in the regular game, and take some of the ZOMG we must change the spell graphics to look stupid! (after 5 years?) people and stick them in LoN or the Market Place.  kkthxbai

What was so insulting about it? That $OE is charging 15 to 20 bucks now for a piece of appearance armor / cloak?

And 25 bucks for a [Removed for Content] mount?  And then dare to call it micro transactions? While it all exceeds the Monthly subscription fee?

And that the competition, like Turbine, at least understands the concept Micro transaction and charges just 10% of the price on their items of what $OE is charging in the Market Place?

I think I was pretty constructive in explaining that.

Nothing insulting about it. It's just the plain truth about the way $OE is heading with their games and how they are [Removed for Content] off more and more of their long loyal customers in favor of preying on the addicted few at emptying their wallets.

We have been paying 15 bucks a month for 6 years for this game!  Have been plea'ing, almost begging for years for more armor variation INGAME !  Especially for crafters ! All my crafted MC gear looks the same ol' same ol' endless recycled crap from 6 years ago. Through all the tiers !

Instead they keep continuing on endless recycling this old crap INGAME with lame excuse after lame excuse.  And then put all the cool stuff (we have been asking for as PAYING SUBSCRIBERS), that wasn't suppose to be possible, on the Market Place for idiotic high prices that have nothing to do anymore with the concept of Micro transactions.

Rest my case.

So perhaps "Heritage" set was not the best title for this. What we were shooting for was a "racial" set. It had zero intention of being an homage to EQ dark elves. It is for EQ2 Dark Elves.

So think of it as an EQ2 Dark Elf "racial" set.

Ya know... it kind of reminds me of the description of the Dark Elven Underfoot provinces armor worn. Talked about in the EQ1 write ups.

+1. And please stop those insulting "Don't insult" threats/moves when it's you that actually start to insult us by 17$ buy-only fluff

Such a nice looking set, shame I can't justify spending the money ontop of the money I already pay (and have been paying for years) to get it.  This isn't micro anymore...

A bit of DA, but when did they ever say these were "micro" ?

And even if they said it, why do you expect them to hold to something they said?

I'll also point out, again, that this $17 set isn't totally fluff.. the cloak gives you featherfall and a DE illusion.  Featherfall takes it out of "fluff" and into "item with useful stats" category.

End of DA

Not exactly what the EQ1 Leather (Pre-Luclin) looked like, but it is pretty close! Something like this I would like.

Tier'Dal Leather(Rough Sketch-may have to color some time...)

Can you all look into making some of these sets ala-carte? I mean I really only want a few pieces of this set... it would rock with some other things.. But I don't need/want it all... Don't want Head/BP/Arms/Cloak .. but the other pieces I could make work..

If you guys could start making these sets as purchasable seperately that would be beyond awesome.

Bright neon pink armor made for Fae, with purple vines and flowers for shoulderpieces. And a long skirt. And... And... LASER BEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMS!

From my forehead.

.... That is all!

(All kidding aside, I love this armor set and hope to see more equally detailed racial heritage sets.)
