Plausible deniability is a political doctrine originally developed in the United States of America in the 1950s and applied to operations by the then newly formed Central Intelligence Agency The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Plausible deniability involves the creation of power structures and chains of command loose and informal enough to be denied if necessary. The idea was that the CIA (and, later, other bodies) could be given controversial instructions by powerful figures -- up to and including the president himself -- but that the existence and true source of those instructions could be denied if necessary; if, for example, an operation went disastrously wrong and it was necessary for the administration to disclaim responsibility.Runnyeye and Splitpaw who?

Gnobrin seems to be the only admin who actually listens to EU players - as can be seen by the total lack of update when he is not on after it has gone past the original ETA

Its all a conspiracy by SoE, let Splitpaw and RE destroy each other - Mutual Assured Destruction. No more EU servers, no more worries.

Nasty but at least that way some people on the EU servers could get some gameplay time.As a person who has 5/6 toons on Runneyeye I would see this as actually being the most fair thing to do right now; yes keep working on the RE issues but munge the log in protocols (don't flame me I am a herbalist not a geek) for Splitpaw to allow some Euros playtime.Pleasexxx

Well since servers are down I started to roll another toon on Vox just to pass the time, I got to think

Qeynos Starter island 1-10, +3 noobie zones 3-12

Freeport Starter island 1-10, +5noobie zones

G Feydark 1-20

Darklight Wood 1-20

RoK 1-20

That is a hell of a lot of starter zones. Choices are good, lore is good, low server population + twinks power leveling through zones + new starters not so good.

At low peak, you are not going to see anyone for 20 levels, especially if u pick 1 of the less popular old zones. IMO this is a very bad way to start a new starter off in any MMO.

Perhaps it would be worth directing new starters away from Q and FP where starter zones are fragmented, and into new zones where a lot of existing players are rolling a new race.

It would be a shame for new starters to get the impression that a server way dead simply because the where in an old zone when RoK launched.

Due to last night's server fiasco, our guild ended up rolling new toons on one of the few servers that was up. We all created toons and hit the newbie island.

By 7:00 PM Eastern, there were two instances of Queen's Colony, with about 40 toons in each. Looks like we weren't the only ones with the same idea. By 9:00 PM, we had enough money to create a new guild. By 9:30 PM, we hit guild level 2 and actually got some random player recruits. By 10:00 PM, I hit level 10, and was a level 8 crafter. At 10:30 PM, I soloed my first heroic and looted my first legendary item and achieved my first AA.

It was the most fun we've had in a long time.

Seems to me that it would be more efficient to simply merge the server rather than reprogramming starter scenario for a situation that doesn't exist on the other more populated servers. Especially when levels 1-20 are usually zipped through in a matter of days by the more enthusiastic new players.

It would be a shame for new starters to get the impression that a server way dead simply because the where in an old zone when RoK launched.

As I can't see a logical way for characters to then get from Gfay, DW and RoK to Q & FP, I'd suggest you do it the other way around.  At least from the Q & FP training isles you have the logical possibility of taking a boat anywhere.  There's also the fact that now instances of the starter isles must be fairly easy to do but wouldn't instances of the starter areas mean the whole zones would be instances, thus making the 8-20 area less populated?BTW, until fairly recently I had an alt on Q training isle for tinkering supplies, and on Runnyeye there were always enough players to group into a few groups.  In fact on some days there were too many players meaning resources and mobs were highly contested.  You really do not want those zones packed with players.Having rolled a few baby alts recently (just to try out the areas and do a little harvesting) I'd have to say that Q, FP, Gfay and DW (on the Runnyeye server) had plenty of players for the types of tasks they need to do DURING peak times (i.e. groups of more than 3 aren't worth it as most stuff can be solo'd).Obviously that's just my view on just one server, but I thought I'd share it with you. And yes, I know the problems aren't related to Legends of Norrath in any way, shape, or form.  I mean, it's purely coincidental that downtime has increased since LoN was added to the mix and yesterday's hotfix was completely unrelated to the LoN patch earlier in the day.Since I'm in a sassy mood, I'll put it this way:plz beta lon on test not on live kthxbyeEven if the problems =are= unrelated, it would help convince the skeptics ;^)

I just logged to the character select screen and noticed 2 of 6 charaters missing. Then I was abruptly disconnected. I logged back in, but the character select screen was as far as I got (2 toons still missing) before getting dropped to the desktop again.

Is anyone else having similar difficulty?

Maybe it's the login servers then? I'm able to zone and switch characters (through /camp) but haven't tried re-logging.

Experienced very long zone load times and several times the game has hung on "receiving zone information" on both of my accounts.
