![]() I buy and sell raws to make money, not to craft with them. You won't see me harvesting when a guy in starcrest has 8 stacks of feyiron for 40c per. Make that HAD 8 stacks of feyiron for 40c per.

![]() I plan on becomming a weaponsmith. I hope to take advantage of a low supply of them on my server. I see more "Ebon eye XXXX" weapons than anything, and no one is going to buy those crappy things when you can quest them in 10 minutes when you first step onto zek. I have mine but I refuse to use it. During my 20's, and even now, its hard as hell to find carbonite weapons for sale. Not everyone can get their hands on a sword of thunder or whatever, and I think there will still be alot of market for them. The attuning part is nice for the crafter indeed, but for the adventurer, it sucks. I noticed my AQ breastplate sells for around 50s. Huzzah, I spent several hours and had to complete 6 quests in a row for an item that now sells for 50s. Yeah, its better than nothing considering you couldn't sell it before, but christ. Problem is, Sony sets the prices things sell to vendors for flat across the board, on all servers. This hits especially hard on servers where things are much more expensive than others. Me on server A may spend 2 gold on an item, and 2 gold is the standard price, and perhaps I get 50s sellback. 1/4th, not the best, but I'll take it. On server B, someone may spend 6 gold on the same item, simply cause that is where their economy is. They would get back 1/12th of their investment on the same item I got for the average price on my server. Kind of a raw deal.

![]() Hopefully, the end result will be the lowering of crafters prices. As money is lost by adventures when they upgrade, crafters will have to sell at lower prices.

![]() that or sell less items for a higher price to make the same, or more profit for less effort. but that is even farther into economics than most have any clue of.

Hmm.. I didn't really mind this attune change that much. I don't craft, in fact I despise it. The mere thought of crafting makes me want to claw my own eyes out! I focus my effort toward getting rare harvests when I need cash and I usually get them rather frequently. This is probably why I don't mind the attune thing that much. There are a TON of crafters on my server (kithicor). You can buy a full set of pristine carbonite vanguard for less than 3 gold. So I don't think the prices will go up at all, on my server at least.

Yeah, but when time comes to upgrade you will get jack back on your investment. You're too low a level to appreciate how much this will cost you. |

You're return on the investment comes in the many gold you will earn while beating on mobs wearing that armour and not getting killed. That means that between 15 and 20 you needed to earn 3 gold to buy your armour when you hit 20. You can make a gold in an evening killing and looting in that range. Income and cost scale as you get to higher levels, at level 20 you can make a gold an hour in loot, so how hard is it to save up for your next set of armor? It isn't. |
