They're taking incense.. but they're taking 50 incense o_O

The quantity of materials needed for the sage combines are still waaaaaay off. It's also very odd to be using food (meat, mushrooms, fish, etc) for sage combines...

Hopefully either the amount of fuel required or the reward per writ is changed; right now, it takes 9p in fuel per writ, and you only receive 1p10g in rewards (45g for each part and 20g for turn-in).

That's going to add up fast on Live when we have to do 150 writs to level (not the mention the massive amounts of materials for each one). Frown

Since each 'step' in the writ is supposed to return the fuel cost of the items crafted (that is the whole point of the step reward), I think we can be pretty sure the numbers on the components (including fuel) are off.

I'm assuming the same (crossing fingers), but also want to be sure to point it out so it doesn't get overlooked if it's not intended.

I don't envy Caith, Kaitheel, et al, the to-do list they must have...

Agreed.. it makes me wish we could do more to help with that kind of tedium.

Same as those above, I leveled my Sage to 105 and the amounts of fuel and materials are way off. I'm also bothered by the use of food-type items in sage combines.
Perhaps it's just because writing makes you hungry, but still ^^

Heh, I was joking with a friend that my fish-skin scrolls were going to be smelling something fierce in the libraries of Norrath. Tongue

I leveled my Sage 2 days ago and then i leveled my carpenter. the sage combines use 50 celestial incense per combine while the carpenter uses 10 sandpaper per combine, for rush orders.

That's waaaaaay better (and lower than carpenter recipes by a huge margin now)

That's really great and much more on-par with previous tiers. Expect for the "nuoc mam" smell of my spells obviously lol

Experts are still taking 200 fuel per combine.

My Sage/Adorner/Transmuter has 13411 recipies known. This is perhaps causing the frequent crash to character select on zoning? Used to do that to me before they eliminated the imperfect recipies (1-3 bar successes). I would really like to be reconnected to my character in zone instead of having to wait for "You already have a character in game" to go away. Lost several min of 10 min potions that way...

I saw this book yesterday when looking for furniture merchants. Could this please be a recipe for sage (player written notebook recipe)? If this already is, sorry I am very behind on beta stuff.

Experts are still taking 200 fuel per combine and using 2 rares. I don't like the 2-rares part at all, especially for spells given the amount of spells needed for a single char.
It's painful enough to imagine harvesting them for a full armour, but spells and onsumables, that's too many imo.
