I managed to delete the Legends of Norath.dll file, but now I have a new problem. When using the updater I get the message that this file can't be compressed.

ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_temppaksexp03_dun_hollow_stump_sg.vpk_delta_1 0455_21.gz

When I bypass the Station Launcher and use the EQ2 launcher (which I have always used), it keeps sending me back to change my password. Then when I attempt to do so again, it tells me I already changed it and sends me to my account.

I am running Windows7 and don't have any of these locations.  I have searched my computer for Sony with no result.  I don't have "program Data" and my 2 Program Files don't contain any EQ2 info.  Where do I go to delete the troublesome file?

This is beyond stupid why is a freaken LoN game I don't play messing with a game I pay to play?  This game was somewhat playable when you all let hackers have access to our account info.  Two weeks later the game is unplayable.

During the down time you guys should have taken some Customer Service training.

I logged in yesterday and played for a few hours, when I was doing a dungeon I experienced a computer lock once I rebooted the eq2 launcher wont get passed the SOE logo.

I've changed my passwordChecked to make sure I had all my windows updatespower cycled my modem and routerrepaired the installation

still it wont get passed the SOE logo, anything else I can do?

Edit: looks like a flash issue, after clearing the browser cache and deleting flash from the control panel and launching eq2 the launch pad redownloaded flash and everything is upa gain

After many attempts at logging in and receiving many operation time outs, I was finally able to login and patch.  After I selected my character and being zoned in, it tells me "retrying server #1"  and it just sits there.  after about 15 mins I close the game and start it back up, now I have "operation time out"  My girlfriend is having the same issues with her client.  Any ideas?

I apologize I haven't had time to stick around today.  Are any of these issues persisting now?  A majority of reported issues  on our end should have been resolved as they relate to the Launcher/LaunchPad.

Which patcher are you using?  Station Launcher or our Full/Streaming LaunchPad?

What you describe does sound like an admin permission issue.  Are you launching the game as an admin?  This is usually done by right-clicking the game icon and selecting Run as Admin.

My launch pad is fine.  But one i get to the update page, the file scan, starts to download, then says download canceled.  I ran full scan twice in the hope to get it ove the edge. But nope, "download canceled"  all by itself.  Is this the same problem your having?

Sounds like the same issue.  Are you running as admin as well?

Yesterday, on my old computer, Everquest 2 ran fine. (I'm still using the launchpad I used 7 years ago)

Today, on my new PC, with the "new streaming launchpad", I'm unable to login, and I always get the same response:

"connection to login server impossible".

Any idea ?

Since installing Flash 10.3.181.4 I can not get past the SOE logo when running the Launcher.

(win7, UAC off, NO firewall, 64 bit OS..all 7 pc's running same setups)

It worked yesterday, but another program asked to install the newer version of flash so I did.  Since, it no longer works.

It works fine on my other 6 computers, all running Flash 10.2.159.1

This tells me it is a Flash Error making it not compatible with LaunchPad (3.0.0.223  11/8/2010 file date)

NEW INFO:  I managed to capture this error from LaunchPad:

Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL http://launchpad.patch.station.sony...auncherLib.swf. Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your application with the matching library.

SO I Closed Launchpad, restarted, it now wont redisplay the erorr, instead just sits at SOE logo and stops like it was doing before.  I can not get 10.2 to work with  launchpad anymore on this machine as it keeps asking me to install Flash or quit if 10.3 is not installed.

I tried to unistall Flash and reinstall 10.2, when I do, LaunchPad MAKES me get 10.3. once 10.3 is installed the above ERROR(s) is/are displayed.

I've deleted all the files and multiple times and I can't seem to get passed this extraction error. Any thoughts?

I as able to get in by using the application and not the launcher... Very odd. It would be nice to get a new launcher.

ok fixed this issue by going to everquest2.com

Went to GET THE GAME

downloaded the installer and "Reinstall/Repaired" my game.  It then asked me to install the latest Flash 10.3.xx.xx

I did, and the patcher now works (LaunchPad)
