What's the difference now than before with the writs? If raid pvp is the thing now you could have done the same thing before and got just as many tokens yet no one was doing it. Don't tell me you were looking for one certain class for weeks because with the raid pvp that would be a non factor. So why now is everyone running around in a x4?

In a nutshell? Because those that previously only "dabbled" in PvP when caught questing are now out actively looking for PvP as well.

New way ; virtually garuanteed to get regular updates |

![]() I don't do the writs. Don't even know were to get the pvp gear from. I don't really care about it. I get the impression that it's possible to do the pvp writs multiple times.Cap the number of times you can do them in a day. And stop complaining about being killed by groups and raids. I was being killed this way before the writs. Just because only one person got a chance at a token didn't mean that killing single people with overwhelming numbers wasn't the easiest way to get a token. You will always get more tokens if you are in a group then if you pvp solo. You kill faster, die less, and can kill more in a much shorter period of time. Does it matter that you're being killed by 10+ people as apposed to 4 or 5? No, you don't have a chance solo either way. The writ system trivializes the pvp gear, at the same time I was under the impression that it was put in place to make it easier to get. Although...Ok, here's the thing. If i'm in a group doing pvp and the magority of my targets are solo or small groups it's pretty much a given win for me. Gear becomes overshadowed with overwhelming odds. I don't need it. I mean you're not soloing a full group of like level players. I dont' stand a chance against a full group of green players. Hell, I've been killed by groups of greys! So who is the gear for? People that consistantly pvp in large groups only benefit from it when they pvp other large groups, and while I've never seen the upper levels of EQ2 I have seen the upper levels of other games and I can't imagine that EQ2 is any dif. Or are raids actually pvping other raids on a regular basis? I'm just not envisioning large scale pvp battles taking place at any given moment on Nagy. This writ thing is a bigger problem at the lower levels seems to be the sentiment that I'm getting from some people. So really, who's the gear for? You're not ungrouping after you get the gear. You'll be pvping in large groups still because you'll be leveling and needing more gear. So all the people that group are getting the pvp gear faster then the solo or small group person. What a shame. Or is it because they have it for the limited time they aren't group, and I mean really now come on, so. Groups have been doing the exact same things they are doing today since I've had an EQ2 account. The groups getting a little bigger only means that instead of several groups running around a zone to kill you, you only have one or two. People have been [I cannot control my vocabulary] forever that no one pvps at the upper levels; now a raid has a reason to kill people, even other raid groups. You got what they wanted. I believe I touch in this in another thread. Oh wait, look. Now it's, "NO ONE TO SOLO!" Right. The fact that some of you post this complaint is proof there are people to solo. If you weren't solo you wouldn't be complaining about getting rolled by a raid! STUPID! It's a bunch of complaining that someone is getting something faster then me. knock it off already. Making it so that people don't get credit for killing people in a smaller group then them is frigin insane. You don't penalize people for playing within the ruleset! If I could I would have a raid going every night just to kill Q and exile without doing writs; just to [Removed for Content] you off. Honestly, to me that's fun. Tiered writs isn't going to make the groups stop killing. No respectible raid group ignores a pvp target because they don't have fair odds. If you're in the same zone as a raid and they see you, chances are your dead. I fully expect the enemy to kill me if I'm there, and I'm prepared for it. It's a pvp server, other people being threat is what makes it fun. Just say it like it is. A lot of you are upset that groups are able to complete the writs, collect thier tokens and get thier gear faster then the solo guy. Very likely they're getting it a little to fast, that I agree with. I'd also like it if SoE would put a light green tint over Norath. Green goes better with envy. Reduce the number of times the writs can be completed in a day. That way groups aren't getting the gear to fast, and once they finish the writs they will disband (hahahahaha) providing plenty of soloers for pvp. Edit: was editing for spelling and such. Bleh, whatever. |
