Well if anyone is still interested, I've coded a Windows app that you can put various values into to see what benefits you get from crits on that bow.http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/177395/bct.zipYou can use the /weapon command in game to get the values for your current bow and feed those into it and see what you come up with.I ran it with the following made up values for 3 bows:Bow A: Min 300, Max 900 (3:1), Crit % 40%Bow B: Min 150, Max 900 (6:1), Crit % 40%Bow C: Min 100, Max 900 (9:1), Crit % 40%This gave the following results:Bow A: Ave Dmg 600, Ave with Crits 739, Benefit from crits 23%Bow B: Ave Dmg 525, Ave with Crits 690, Benefit from crits 31%Bow C: Ave Dmg 500, Ave with Crits 676, Benefit from crits 35%As expected, if all the bows have the same max damage, then the best damage comes from the bow with the *smallest* damage spread. So, what does this mean in the real world ? Well, I stuck in some figures for some real bows (all with same delay of 9 secs) Tunare's Wrath - 258/774 - Ave Dmg with crits 635, Crit Benefit 23%Star Darkened Longbow - 146/829 - Ave Dmg with crits 638, Crit Benefit 30%Rigid Scale Bow - 204/817 - Ave Dmg with crits 648, Crit Benefit 26%It shows basically there's nothing really to pick between the bows when looking at their base damage. Obviously when you've equipped it you'll get different figures, and also there are varying procs to take into account. Please feel free to play with the utility and see what you find.

Ok I am gonna try to deal with the crit calculations and dpm math in a sec.. btw there are a lot of good posts about this around. Especially if you look at Effidian's bow comparison posts.Effidian's Bow Comparison with Ammo level threadLeanan's Crit Calculations ThreadBut before this the reason that rain caller is better for your dps than grizzfazzle is because of the lvl of the bow.Rain Caller is a lvl 57 bow, which means it will see full damage potential together with t7 ammo.Grizzfazzle however is a t7 bow and will not see full potential with t7 ammoLook to Effidian's chart for more info. Now when considering which bow is better or weapon in any case there is a lot of things to take into consideration. Delay for timing, dmg range, max hit, crit rate, and most importantly average damage potential which is in a sense the way to compare all those in one nice number. This is based of calculations and formula's by Leanan and Effidian. I am only gonna try to explain the math behind it, the final calculations are already available in Effidian's chart. The fact that a high dmg range is good does not mean it is the end all of what is better or worse.Ghostly Bow of Bylze:65-585delay 9dmg range = 1:9 ( 585/65 )which by Leanan's chart is about 1.87* increase per crit percentage. ( look to Leanan's thread for proper explanation of the crit calculations formulas )40% crit is pretty decent to use for math when considering ranger bow comparison. This is with 27+ crit and focus usage.with a range of 1:9 and a crit percentage of around 40% you will get 34.8% increase in overall damage ( 0.87 * 40 ).We now have quite a few numbers and are ready to do our calculations. Now to find the damage potential of a weapon we need to use averages for math.Average hit of the Ghostly Bow of Bylze is 325 ( 65+585/2 ). This is a normal and commonly known way to calculate the average of several numberswith crits this is 438.1 ( 325*1.348 )This is adding the percentage we got from Leanan's chart to our average hit. With a delay of 9 the Ghostly Bow of Bylze will have 6.67 (actually 6.66inf) attacks per minute (60/9)Simply dividing the number of seconds in a minute with the number of seconds between attacks. So the average damage potential calculated to damage per minute would be around 2920 (438.1*6.67)Simply multiplying the average hit with crits with the attacks per minute (look to Effidian's chart for exact numbers). Also it has been discovered how arrow tier/level affect our bows damage potential, the percentages used to calculate that are based on hours of research and parsing by Effidian (look to Effidian's chart for explanation). This will affect the bows to some degree, often a lot more than it really should.I don't feel the need to post actual comparisons here as I have showed you to Effidian's thread. I am simply showing you the step by step way to make such calculations.Again I am sorry I didn't go much more into how and why the crit calculations are as they are, but Leanan's thread is quite explains it all.EDIT:Keep in mind that str, haste, dps etc is not taken into consideration pure damage output of the bow. And should not affect the charts much as it is mostly things that affect you no matter which bow.
