*pouts* I'm having issues finding somewhere to host my files so I can rotate my sigantures!   I went to several free websites and they all won't let me upload the files.  I have tried my webspace provided by my cable...it too doesn't work. It's one of these I have tried so many things and I think I almost actually *screamed* Lol....Anybody have any tips or suggestions for me? lol

I'm guessing you're having trouble finding a place to host "random.php" and "images.txt," not your image files themselves.  A Google search for "free PHP file host" turned up a number of promising hitsSMILEY  You might have to shop around a bit, but I'm sure you'll find something that will suit your needs nicely.

From the above FAQ:

Q: I made changes to my sig on my profile page, but I still see my old sig!!

A: This forum software displays signatures in a unique way; each user has their own sig "page," which is displayed inside an inline frame ("iframe&quotSMILEY in each of their forum posts. Just like any other website page you view, your browser will try to cache it in order to improve page load times when you visit the page again. This is totally expected and normal behavior, but it can be frustrating when your changes are saved on your profile, but they don't seem to be taking effect in the posts themselves. The truth is, most other people are seeing your updated sig, but because you view a lot of your own posts, your browser is naturally trying to save you some time by caching the page.

To force your browser to pull the latest version of your sig page from the forum server, just press Ctrl+F5 when viewing a thread in which you've posted. (This is also called a "hard refresh.&quotSMILEY You should see the new version of your sig after the first try, but some browsers are stubborn and require a second hard refresh.

It does now state on the "My Profile" page that changes to your sig may take up to an hour to apply, but try the hard refresh first. Ninety-nine percent of the time, that's all you need to do and no waiting is required!

It only answers your questions if you read it!  SMILEY

My question is "How do you set up a custom avatar?"  Like the one Seagoat is using, for example...

Most "normal" posters are unable to do that, beyond picking from the ones listed in the profile options.

All I can tell you is that it involves a live mouse and a basket of figs.

Just kidding! You need to have been smiled upon by the forum gods (aka one of the admins) to be allowed to set your own custom avatar.

Technical reason: The forum software doesn't currently enforce the 130x130 size limit, and if everybody were allowed to set their own, it's only a matter of time before some [Removed for Content] puts in a full-sized screenshot and screws everything up.

Practical reason: The mods and admins have enough fun moderating signatures, and they would probably explode with the sheer joy of it all if avatars were thrown into the mix. SMILEY

Not sure if this is the right place to post but looked as good as any SMILEY

I've recently purchased the game and i went for the EQ2 players add on (1.99) ive sussed out how to get my sig to appear but I cant figure out how to get my paper doll to show in the signature.

If anyones got any tips on this, like how to take a screen of just my paperdoll ingame and how to place it into my sig it would be appreciated SMILEY

okies managed to get my papaerdoll image into my eq players sig...but to me it looks like its trying to escape and can only see half of it.

question is, is it that way when others see it and if so any ideas on how to fix it?

Yep, everyone sees it...it's a known issue with some EQ2 Players sigs (thread here).

You can't...what you see on your EQ2Players sig is what you get.

How do I change the option to "see signatures in posts" and make it stay? Is there another place to make the selection also?
