So I am going through the questline a second time. First time through I completed 2 separate factions before I started the sig line. This time, I am doing them how they seemingly are intended. With that in mind, I just gained access to the instances but am still only 104. Now, I understand I can just continue grinding some quests to get up to 105.
My concern is that I figure we are getting a pretty substantial boost in xp for beta. If we go to live and are earning less xp for these quests, I wonder how low we will actually be by the point that we are able to get into the solo instances. The question is whether the xp that we are currently earning is comparable to live, such that we will be around 104 when we get to the solo instances in the sig line. Or are we going to be left off at like 102 needing to grind quite a bit more. If it's the latter, I would recommend decreasing the amount of xp needed for 100-105 but then you can increase the xp from 105 to 110. This way you can actually get into the solo zones and use them to help grind the xp up to 110. You can keep the same total amount of xp needed to level from 100-110. I would just suggest backloading it so that people can get into the instances instead of needing to grind through monotonous repeatable quests before even sniffing the solo zones. |

Just an update to this, I hit 105 right as I hit 50k faction with my first tribe. This seems right to me. You finish one set of overland dudes up to 50k, get your sig line up to the solo instances and jump right in. I hope this is the same rate of xp for live.

Is there an xp bonus for finishing zones? I completed the first two innovation zones for the sig line and see no noticeable boost in xp (pretty much stuck as the 105 and 20% that I started with). I thought it was said that leveling this expac was going to be done by quests and dungeon content such that people played the current content and not the old content? If so, we need dungeon completion xp like we had in KA.

The xp feels about right to me. I've got 2 toons on beta and both were at 104 when I got access to the solo zones, so I did a few quests and I was at 105 within a couple of hours. I'll be miffed if the xp from 100-105 is nerfed so that we have to do all 3 factions to get to 105, but then we wouldn't have much else to get from 105 to 110 apart from dailies, so I don't see that happening. I can see the xp from 105 to 110 being nerfed though, as we will presumably have daily quests, key quests, etc on top of any remaining faction quests. People aren't going to be jumping straight into heroics at 110 anyway, but my concern is that the xp from 100 to 105 is nerfed so that we have to complete most of the 3 factions, and Patiak faction is the worst quest line I've ever encountered in the game. Factor in that every instance of the overland zone will have 60+ players fighting over the same mobs, we really need a bunch of people to have access to the solos early on.
