Hello all.  I am a level 52 Champion SK on Nagafen.  I need your advice badly.  Let me state a few things to begin with. 1.  My gear is as good as it gets.  Cobalt head to toe.  Colbalt weapons etc....Ironwood Kite shield.  My jewlery is top notch. 2.  I am not a Newbie playing for the first time.  For the most part (not always, but for the most part) I am effective in battle and don't get all that frazzled. 3.  I have made the statement that I did not think a different class would and could stand toe to toe with SK's if it was an even con fight. (I had problems earlier with the fury class but I think i have that figured out now) Question:  Please give me advice I am having a heck of a problem with Conjurers.  IMO they do as much damage as the Wizard or any DPS class.  2 examples......I duo all the time with a 52 Brig.  We are in SS the other day coming up a hill and run into a 57 conjurer.  It drops my Brig partner before he can get evac off.  I get 2 spells off and it drops me.  The amount of damage it was doing to me was tremendous and I never had a chance.  Yes i know it was 5 levels higher but you would think being a tank in good gear i would be able to stand for at least 3 seconds.  2cnd example.  I see a level 47 conj today in EL..........we both see each other so no one gets the jump.  We start to fight and i realize real quick that he is far outdamaging me and my heals.   I am probably going to lose the fight.  Luckily HT is up so I nuke it and drop him but good lord.  I am not sure but I think that if HT was not up I might not have won that fight.  Once again I don't think i panicked but he started doing so much damage to me.  Maybe I am the only one out there that has problems with the CONJ but please give me some advice.  My partner the Brig also got owned by one in a even con fight.  He is very good at PVP and its not just because he is a scout.  He doesn't seem to have an answer for them either.  I could use your advice

The problems with Conjurors is their Stuns/Stifles/DD's/Primary pet/Swarm and temp pets.... lolYou need to keep the fight close in range, Burn your Ca's, and time your stuns perfectly (use 1hander with shield for the extra interrupt). That's about all you can do.

Heya...

I have probs with those guys too. Are you in defensive stance when you fight or offensive? Are the stances adept 3 or better? The reason I ask is for your mental resist. I am sure its high, but I am curious how you PvP too.

What AA line are you using, if any?

I am still trying to figure out all of this and see which ones make sense for us. I have Int line and Wis gear on, so I resist alot. I was thinking of switching to Agi/Wis AA lines to max avoidance and resists. I am currently at 40, and I am not going anywhere near PvP until I have my ebon and some better jewelry and the like. I get smacked down too quick right now.

im a 60 sk on the blue AB server and 40 sk on the pvp server and I must say I am still having problems with conjurers as well. I have all adept 3's and full feysteel (I will have full ebon today or tommorow) anyways no matter what I do the only way I can seem to kill these guys is to get the jump on them first or use my HT mid battle,

I think I have tried both the defensive stance and offensive stance on them, in offensive I can take the conjurers life pretty quick , but with the loss of defense the pet kills me quick, and in defensive stance I last a little longer, but then dont do enough damage to kill the conjurer quick enough

and in either case my dots are to slow acting to kill him, and I never have enough time to cast my pet or unholy blessing line, so If I get some more info I will get back you on how to kill them

THEORY, we need to test our FD on them, it make there pet loss target for a second, if we can do that then run circles around them while meleeing we might have a chance , im gonna test this.

FD will cause them to lose the dumfire pets.

Once they cast these on you, drop and then pop back up as fast as possible.   It will cut some of the damage you take from the dumbfire pet dot's.   As mentioned above, it will cause the pet to back of, but only momentarily since your opponent is probably smart enough to send him back in.

The few thing I have learned are this.

1) IF you are training in the STA AA line the Hammer Ground is CRITICAL.  I use this when i need to cast long spellS

2) When he pulls out the swarms at you do this Hammer, Tap Veins, FD you just almost got a full heal

3) Use your snares on him so he moves very slow away from you and you can keep stunning and tapping him.

4) The other thing you can do is snare his pet and then chase after him with his pet always lagging behind

5) AOES AOES AOES GOD I LOVE THEM AND THEY HELP USE YOUR DESPOILING MIST

The thing ive noticed with conj is there pets are not scaled for pvp so the pet does all the damage as its hitting as it would for pve, but if you look at our pet its the same. The best way to fight conj ive found is use the bloodline spell to get the rats off you then try to get wrath on him. But the speed they kill you its not allways possible. Biggest thing i hate about them if you attack them and there pets on auto defend they can outun you as there not in combat mode and you are and the pet just beats the crap out of you. Nasty class to fight but from reading the pvp forums id say the nerf bats getting ready to swing.

Hiya. 51 sk here. I wonder how your resists are? (specifically against heat) I'm guessing that you have tons and tons of mitigation. I wonder if your heat resistance could be higher? I'm working on getting a full cobalt set atm (I'm a soloist, and it takes forever to get the funds together) but I have  a few pieces. Not sure about the resists. I agree they are a very tough class to take down in any event.  I think your spell damage issue is coming from a resists problem, in conjunction with a lowish wisdom. I bet you own melee classes tho. *shrug*
